If that is a minimum spec what would be a recommended one?

For the spec you listed what kind of gfx settings would it allow to play the game on?

    Cheers
My test machine (which is where the specs have come from) runs at low details setting, although in fairness our low setting isn't very aggressive yet so we have some scope for improvement.

There's no recommended spec yet, to be honest we're focused on trying to support what machines we can and still maintain decent performance.

Meeting and passing that with my old GTX470 (or 475, cannot remember which it was). It is the oldest part inside my computer, though, and I'll be upgrading it next year. Just glad to see that I don't have to do so immediately!

Tomshardware has some nice tables for most computer components, by the way:

Could you tell me what that spec machine would get in the WEI?

I have no idea whether my 5800 mobility is good enough or not...

If you check the chart that I posted above, you'll find the 5800 quite low, far below the recommended minimum, unfortunately. The fact that it is the "mobility" version only makes it worse...

Not bad- I have a Core 2 Extreme processor (the last and fastest of that line), 4 gigs of RAM, and a GTX 460 so I should be OK....

    ...oh, and this:

we're approaching the first build delivery
    squeeeeee <does happy dance>!

There. I got it out of my system.

Lovely, wonder what the max supported resolution will be

That's the NVidia, but I am pretty sure it is a Radeon I have in my lappy.

I was right, according to this page I have a 5850 but I remember looking a few weeks ago and it listed it as a 5800.

Quite near the top of the list and I get 7.0 on the WEI:-)

I got GeForce 9800GTX ... I think it is not sufficient for alpha test

I have one of those nice looking bamboo Asus laptops too and I reckon there would be no chance with it.

I tried to play games on the thing but it just was not up to it.

So is my E8400 dual core (2x3) a complete non starter then?

Ah, in that case, you should be able to run it more or less well. (If you had said HD 5800, I might not have been thrown off like I was...)

I've got the same with a dual core 2.7 5gig ram.....Time to "borrow" the kids piggybanks again...

Although it's beena very good card and has taken everything I've thrown at up till now.

No mention of a 64bit operating system being necessary as a minimum I notice.

I set this cat amongst the 64bit pigeons!

Hmm... my gtx 780 might be a bit overkill then..

But running with all bells and whitles is ok too
