    CQC Update: 1.4 Gamma 4

    Hello commanders,

    We have an update for our gamma stress test servers today! Here's the change log... as always, thanks for all of your bug reports, and feedback for CQC!

    The PTS servers will be down for up-to 30 minutes during this update. We will push the update out at 3PM BST.


    • Fixed a crash opening system map when jumping
    • Fixed a soft lock in CQC.
    • Server matchmaking improvements.
    • Server stability and performance fixes.
    • Added CQC specific mute mode option (only available on PC/Mac).
    • Added default settings for the new Options Screen Interface.
    • Added A PC only tooltip to notify of the new option.
    • When a player quits from the CQC menu, make sure that they leave any squad that they were part of.
    • If a player is on the edit loadout screen when a game starts, them make sure that they start loading into the game.
    • Reduced the number of rounds being shot, the amount of damage being done and increased reload time for CQC frag cannon.
    • Fix error transitioning from galaxy map to powerplay screen.
    • Set a minimum level of visible stars in the galaxy map.
    • Changed the maximum number of invites to 3 for squads on PC, rather than 7.
    • Handle network disconnections early in voice comms. If my attempts to send fail, or I miss their cancel(/timeout) response, I should give up.

    ok what is a CQC system permit...

    i'm guessing CQC will be blended into the lore and game. that should hush most of the people calling for removal of the CQC ranking in the Hud.

    More likely it's dev speak and CQC system permit means something to do with networking protocols or whatever.

    I thought it was a permit for a specific system or station in the "real"* game if you got to a certain level in CQC

    *ducks head down to avoid the I don't want CQC stuff in my game / CQC is great fun argument...

    There is a system in the main game, the permit for which you are awarded for Prestiging in CQC - not sure which system it is off the top of my head though, and not sure what makes it special.

    When you hit your first prestige level, you get a permit for the CQC system - it's like the Founders World, but for CQC.

    However, that issues wasn't resolved in this release. edit; Removed it from the list!

    Oh, I didn't know that.

    What is the CQC system called? I'm assuming it's not called "CQC System"?

    Could you guys consider making CQC also available as a location inside the regular game? i.e. I travel there and can compete in the games, instead of breaking immersion via a menu? ^_^

    Also thanks for the mute option, very much appreciated!

    Can we also get push to talk to be default rather then continual? and maybe some way to ingame test and config our voice communication, playback device and such? so we can make voices come out of another speaker/heatset if we have such?

    Also Over/under 3d pretty please?

    This is exactly how it should be. Not a side game like pocket space invaders.
