    Horizons 2.0 Beta Change Log #2

    Hi all, we will be taking the beta servers offline shortly for an update.

    We expect for the downtime to take no more than 30 minutes, but we will do our best to come in under that! The beta servers will go offline at 6.30PM GMT.

    You can read the main changes in this build below...




    • Fix issue with some players not being able to connect to the gamer server from the main menu
    • Fix some mismatched terra-formed meta data on server caused stability problems
    • Stop edserver crashes when player is in an SRV and has a mission to kill ships
    • Fix crash when scanning a data link with turret and boarding ship
    • Fix values for inertial camera spring on VR HMDs
    • Fix occasional crash related to SRV wheel collisions
    • CQC - Reticle gains a strange overlay / Extra GUI arrows appear each time your ship is destroyed fixed
    • Xbox One: Overlapping numbers on Gamertags fixed
    • Make sure the supercruise stations are set up correctly for networking
    • Tweaks to comms and info panel in Cutter cockpit
    • Hitting a planet at high speed (above several C in supercruise) no longer does weird things
    • Ensure that the planetary approach suite is automatically applied when resurrecting a ship
    • Fix for settlement decorations replicating when they should be local only
    • Re-export mission templates for latest settlement layouts
    • Xbox One: Crash fix in Eranin combat zone
    • Xbox One: Allow entry into orbital cruise (already applies to non-Horizons clients)
    • Xbox One: Abort system map on network error
    • Xbox One: Better handling of webserver errors

    What about the abysmal state of keyboard+mouse controls for the SRV? Could we have, like, at least an acknowledgment that this is understood as a serious issue?

    Looks like good stuff, although I'm having an issue where my SRV keeps falling through the world's surface, is that a known issue? Or is it maybe something on my end?

    Any fix for the SRV destruction sending you back to the last station cause I'm sorry that's gotta be a bug. Also any fix for loosing your exploration/ bounty data when the SRV is destroyed too cause we've been told that's tied to the ship so there is no reason it should be lost with the SRV.

    What about adjusting the speed of the Cobra mk4 please. Would make a whole lot of people happy

    Its every controller. Trust me. The combined roll/turn axis makes it impossible not to flip your ship when you hit the slightest bump at speed. Those need to be separate axes.

    Also, we need an option for manual downward thrust to keep traction on low g planets while going slowly over very lumpy terrain. This would allow us to maintain control in certain high risk situations. It can't be auto-thrust though because that would take away control and force some players into a bumpy camera mode

    did anybody else find the SRV completely uncontrollable on Europa ?

    Amazing stuff otherwise, this expansion is the kicker... now where's that vive ..

    What about the people that still have no Horizons option in the launcher and also nothing in "my downloadable products" in the store even though they have the expansion pass and premium beta?

    Just download the Standard Launcher from your "downloadable products", install it and see what happens...

    Doesnt work. The only way I get the current launcher to work is via steam. I try otherwise I get an error message right away when starting the launcher.
