    Without a global grid, I can't place anything without feeling physically nauseous,

    I genuinely can't bare the thought of not using a grid otherwise it'll be too imperfect, If it's any help, I suffer from OCD. I'm aware this is a nit-picky personal issue, but otherwise I can't comfortably play Planet Coaster.
