So combat is broken (AI)

Mining is broken (Refineries)

and now Trading is also broken.

I wonder if we'll have to wait till 1.5 to have Mining and Trading fixed too...

Yeah, currently there is not much left to do that works without almost game-breaking bugs, seeing such a short changelog after two weeks was disheartening.

I playing this game for 3 weeks, and theres too much server downs, updates bla bla... I cant play this game when i have free times. :/

Don't worry guys not long till we can play...........................................................................

Yet the server status icon stays green. Not very informative.

There was at least a warning before the server went down if you were logged in early enough (it was too windy outside so woke up early!).

For a reboot the servers are normally only off for short time. Really though all talk of duplicating servers and such try and remember there is no monthly charge for using the servers so cash will be limited. Games like world of warcraft have around £10 per month subscription so keep that in mind when new features cost money. For what it is elite is actually fairly cheap in comparison to £100+ per year.

Although, yeah, the status shouldn't be green if down.

So basically one complains due to faults and the other complains that steps are being taken to fix them?

+1

Another +1
Servers are way too often offline for "Scheduled Maintenance" (I'm guessing they just restart the servers) or some botched upgrade.

I only play solo as well, I really wish the offline mode wasn't scrapped.

I'm just frustrated that after paying for a game - it's still buggy and the down time is a pain in the ass. I'm not a frequent player - I like to play when I have some (and its limited free time). It seems that for at least 50% of that free time the servers are down.

Now, for me, the servers are down in the morning (UK) most of the time. Crap for me 'cos my free time is in the am not the pm. Really getting frustrated. If I thought Frontier would do so I'd be asking for a refund.

Wow, what? no, Trading is not broken if you are referring to the trading rank not going up, half a million is NOT enough money to get Tycoon level traders ranks to go up one percentage, anyone that thinks that really needs to step back and realize its the it is the freaking last trade rank, and takes the longest of all to progress to Elite

I've seen this expressed in many posts, on many other threads than this one.

I bought ED straight off; no teetering decision. I bought it based on the rep of the 84 game and DB. I haven't complained about my purchase once. Some issues, sure; we all have them. In the main, I've been happy with the game.

Until now. There are absolutely game-stopping bugs in the product, like the "infinite hyperspace" bug that makes the game unplayable. Why should switching modes, supposedly only a matchmaker function, cause the problem to go away for the majority of people? The offset Anaconda hud; the mining bug(s), the way well-behaved NPCs now act totally brainlessly (where is MoM?)...

FD, I'm sure you can understand why I will not be purchasing the Horizons expansion until I watch other people shake out the bugs. I just can't believe an add-on can be dropped into such a bugfest as ED is currently without catastophic results. You cannot build a house on sand.

I'm putting this here to hopefully be read by Zac. I've had a lot of faith in you guys for the past 10 months but it is at the straining-point right now. Many players have said that they preferred to wait, patiently, while things are fixed rather than have new content. But we need to see action on these endemic problems.

I can't see the business strategy of pushing out new content to new players on top of this rickety infrastructure, who will meet the Bugfest and toss the game, ask you for refunds & tell their friends not to buy based on their experience. At the same time, those of us who have been patient will also be leaving, because we expect as much quality invested in the game by the creators as by the players.

Please, Zac, FD staff, QA staff... please fix the game first. Then you can have my money happily.

There should be a poll... "bring back the old patch politics!!!"

Ditto. This is one of very few games with which I bypassed my policy of waiting a year from release to purchase (allows time to patch the biggest of bugs). I regret my decision to be honest.

P.S. second restart? Could you at least tell us what is going on?
