I've finally took the plunge and got myself a MSI Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 ARMO arrives today looking forward to seeing the difference from my gtx 970 so will be an exciting night on elite

I hope so. Just read a review saying how there 1080 is slower than there 970 which I find hard to believe must be a problem card wise ��

You'll see a decent increase in speed overall.

Make sure you look at your fan speeds to avoid thermal throttling.

Absolutely not slower unless you have bad issue with PC or driver. I upgraded from 2x980SLI to one 1080. Have not missed SLI once. it is a bit faster than the SLI 980, so it will be A LOT faster than one 970 without doubt.

Would have been in heaven if it had arrived on time �� But I can wait for tomorrow just �� I like what I'm hearing cannot wait to fire up elite tomorrow after work thanks BillD. And thanks Shadragon for the link will look it over while I'm STILL eagerly awaiting delivery And will look at my fan settings again it was quite aggressive on the 970 as that was nicely oc but thanks for the heads up
