Patch Notes Update 2.3 Beta 1.01 Changelog

To make it slightly more popular among who doesn't own one of the big bads, they probably should add a seat to the Keelback (finally giving it a purpose)

First of all, the Keelback is already a great ship. Second of all, several smaller ships have Multi Crew capability.....though without a Tactical Role, it seems wasted on Cobras, Adders and Vultures.

I agree, however a quick fix for it is you can get Reshade 3.0 (VERY easy to install) and apply better AA to the game then built in one. Its not Temporal but you can adjust it to make it stronger. Just a thought.

How well does Reshade work with VR in ED? Does it impact performance negatively?

Hi Frontier! Thanks for your great work!

I know maybe it's not the right place to ask, but are there any plans to improve the antialiasing in the game? Maybe a temporal algorythm or something?

Currently the only decent way to reduce aliasing is supersampling, but it's very taxing on performance :(
Are you talking VR?
Yes, its important, especially for VR.
Elite is only one game where AA is working so badly. Temporal AA could help.

I've found that AA and SS do more harm than good in VR. Turn OFF AA, dial SS down to .65, and put all you've got left into HMD-Quality. I run 2.0 HMD-Quality and Aliasing is practically gone.

I tried a recommended setting of SS: 1, and HMD-Q: 1, and the aliasing was terrible.

AA and SS seem to be tools made for 2D rendering. Not 3D VR.

Give it a go. :)

Are you talking VR?

Currently I am talking about regular monitors. The aliasing is insane on the entrance grills + almost all interier (specially on the lights/lamps inside stations) or the stations themselves.

For VR, I found out that my GTX1080 does not cut it for me to play with comfortable graphics :( Maybe someday if NVidia's SMP will get implemented

Greetings commanders. I'm trying to get my 2013 Mac Pro to run ED:Horizons on bootcamp. MOstly working. Various driver issues that the community has fortunately solved.

I"m getting strange audio behavior in the game on my Mac Pro (not on my main gaming machine), in that audio will run for 5-6 seconds then there's a 1/2 second pause to the game audio. Not a dropout, a pause. If anyone is playing this on a 2013 Mac Pro with windex 10, please contact me as I'm somewhat perplexed. Also have some devices not finding drivers still. Base System Device and Network Controller (which I presume to be the wifi, as the 2 onboard NIC's are there). This happens in the beta, which is where I found it but also in 2.2, which I found rather disheartening as it means it's my side.
