Hopefully not. That's the whole point of multicrew. Watch the trailer. People are talking about telepresence because it reminds them of the SLFs stupid lore explanation but Frontier Did not say anything about this.
Actually they did. People would not flip out over nothing:
Hey Rax! I've seen it... it's awesome. I like the telepresence aspect of it. It's all a lot of fun.
Good questions... I know that Sandy will be reading this thread a lot so he's sure to see them. We've got a livestream coming up in a couple of weeks, I'm sure there will be plenty of opportunity to answer as many questions as possible
But yeah - it's telepresence!
Which makes you think: if it's telepresence, how come you can see other players in their seats? And if those are holograms or whatever other representation, why would the people of the 34th century bother with it? Comms or maybe a video call on a screen would be enough.
So they are using the telepresence nonsense to explain a game feature (being able to instantly multicrew) and then they have to come up with some other nonsense (like ultra realistic holograms or whatever) because they promised players an immersive experience where you are in the cockpit with your friends.
