Spectacular work on the new payout image.
I'm happy that the NS and WD are basically the same as they were, as it never made sense the things you could find just by looking at the galaxy map were worth as much as EL and WWs that you had to actually travel to a system to 'discover'. The new payouts seem much better wrt value of locating them.
That said, I'm 10k out on a NS search mission, but I tend to scan most systems I find, esp anything with an AW, MR, WW, or possible HMC TF. So it does take me some time to make progress from the bubble. I'm also back tracking on a route that I had already done but destroyed by a NS post 2.2 patch. So, I know what's out where I'm going for the most part, and I'll make sure to add 10+ HMC systems to my rescan list. Glad that I found a 3xHMC-TF 2xWW-TF, 7xHMC system yesterday after the update. that'll be a nice payout. Probably as much as my previous week's worth of pre 2.3 scans. But it's not about the $$$, I wanna be famous.

Me too. I went out into the black weeks ago on the assumption that the buff would be applied at the point of sale. Don't get me wrong, the journey itself has been pretty rewarding, but a brotha's gotta eat!
I must have glossed over the price changes in the patch notes, but I took a new DBX out for a quick shakedown just to see how they perform now, and found a system just a couple klys south east of sol with an asteroid base.
In itself it was kinda nice, but then discovered it had a cartographics shop (in addition to market, mission board, black market, outfitting, shipyard, and repairs! - busy little place) so I decided to sell the data accumulated so far. Then I saw this...

It is nice to see the way they buffed the Cr you get with exploration. Now you get a lot more if you actually explore and find a few selected kind of bodies instead of just jump and honk or neutron field grinding. The best thing is I was searching for these planets before, so my way of exploring did not change a bit, but the payouts are multiplied almost by 10
I wonder what is that special about type II gas giants that are way more valuable than other gas giants, included those with life.
On a related topic... did someone notice the holograms of the selected bodies changed? Now you can easily tell appart type II gas giants from the rest. WW also changed and now are similar to Metal-rich planets. I did not found any ELW yet to check if they changed that too.

I have not noticed any difference with the Earth Like holograms
Yep, a good number of planet types that didn't have their own icons before do have it now. ELWs and AWs stayed the same. There's a handy sheet from Radio Sidewinder which you can find here.
The white-dwarf in my home system looks like your neutron star.
