Patch Notes Update 2.3 The Commanders Beta - Changelog

That is an impressive list of changes! Thanks, FD!

A few things that I really appreciate are: Fixed SRV scanner, asteroid bases, engineered Detailed Surface scanner options, camera improvements, and the framerate improvement when dropping out of supercruise near a station. Holo-Me has a lot of customization tweaks.

I like it so far, although I got dropped back to the station menu several times, when outfitting failed (might be related to swapping item slots).

I'm currently taking a Dolphin for a test flight; it's got a decent jump range with an A-rated drive (24 lys, if I remember correctly).

Bottom line, we NEED multiple Holo-Me save slots - anything less just isn't doing the entire character creation tool the justice it deserves!

I'd be happy if we could just export/import the Holo-me (as an XML/json file etc). Then we could tinker as much as we like, and restore afterwards. We could move our saves from Beta to the main game too.

Don't know if this is answered before.

One of the line in the patch notes is : Fix issue where srv could still be driven even though it was

The sentence is missing text I believe and since I had few issues with srv in game would love to know what this is.

There's too many things in those patch notes that I absolutely am happy to see. Especially performance-related improvements, particularly for my 500-series Nvidia card. Shame that I won't get to try it out til the live release, but still!

Thanks very much Fdev for the hard work, can't wait for my turn to play!

What is the Empire Trader in a list of ships with updated multicrew chairs? o_O I thought it was Cutter, but it's further down the list. Is it Clipper?

Maybe even more importantly it will allow it to become a community thing. People could request certain faces based on pictures, and people who enjoy doing so can create them and then send them via a file.

I guess so... was wondering the same

And I want to do this in the commander creator:

Why decrease mission stacking to 3? If you can limit it by type, why n not just limit all types to 1 at a time and increase rewards substantially? The problem is having to stack at all, and while 3 is better than 20, why not just fix it entirely where one mission is all you can take, and all you NEED to take because each one is individually rewarding, not just 1/3 of the intended reward...

I have absolutely no problem with this as long as the missions offered by a faction in war/civil war are all/mostly massacre missions.

My Top 3

1 SRV wave scanner fixes
2 Mouse button back working in starport services again
3 Orca weight reduction

Great changelog of so many things Thanks FD Team!

One question I have about ship naming, are other players able to see your ship name at all without the use of name plates? I've been having a look at various players I've seen around and haven't seen any ship names anywhere be it in the target info or contact info, although maybe I just haven't ran into anyone that's named their ship yet.

When nameplates are available to buy (real money), you will be able to see them, probably not at a distance except thru freecam, though. Name, whether you purchased a plate or not, appears on the target info screen, next to CMDR/NPC name. Not all ships have them, from what I saw.

Wait... the Keelback can have a live human pilot in the fighter bay that gets killed if your ship gets killed... but can't have a hologram?
