20+ USSs visible when entering a system...is this correct?

When I 1st jump into a system I see 20+ USSs. Encoded, Encoded, Encoded, Encoded, HGE, Encoded, Degraded, HGE, Encoded, Encoded etc.
I have not scanned anything and I have not scanned the nav beacon, they are just all there as soon as I enter the system.

Is this correct? I thought we were supposed to use the new scanning techniques to find USSs...am I missing something?

They need to give us more filter options, particularly USS's and geological locations. It's starting to get pretty cluttered.

This Sooo Much!

For months, nay years, we have been pleading with FD to make finding Uss's and in particularly HGE easier, quicker, more often and now it seems we have it. Let's be very quiet and say............

"Nothing to see here FD, move on"
:)
Well I got a good few HGEs from our EZ Aquarii home system without having to really do anything :)
Bug ticket submitted.

Well, I don't know about anyone else.. but in my experience this is making USS even harder to find.

let me explain..

I jump into a system, and I see a ton of USS all around. The problem is, once I investigate these.. there are no more. I cannot make any more spawn.. so if I need HGE and I don't see one when I jump into the system.. I'm screwed.

I have done the usual method of flying around in SC and occasionally I see 'Discovered New Signal Source' in the top right but when I check the map or look around.. they're not actually there.

It seems like the USS sources you initially see, that's it.. that's all you get.

Am I missing something? How do I 'scan for USS sources?'

As I flew closer to planets more USS new signal sources appeared. There were loads. Most Encoded, lots of HGEs and a few others.

More will appear, it takes time, you'll start to get new signal source detected messages. However if a system isn't producing a particular type (say, HGE) and they're not there, it's not likely to suddenly start producing them, go to another system. The up-side is you can find that out relatively quickly, rather than fly around for ten minutes until you see they aren't appearing.
