23810 Prototype wrecks - WIP

Ok, first things first, in an attempt to identify some of the tags and whether they are relevant or not, I have uploaded these images:

An escape pod:

Roof of a planetary outpost

If we could infer something from these, I assume it is either a resistant factor and manufacturer, but the numbers in the plate on the base are the same as the numbers of the plate in the space wreck. I doubt the one floating in a space is a planetary outpost so that would definitely not be a clue.

I'll keep updating now.

Has there been anywhere that anyone's seen any kind of logo on these parts?

This is building into something very interesting

Sample planetary outpost, and this is for now totally unrelated, I'm leaving this other tags in here just in case they become visible in future wrecks:

for now all I know is that these numbers are present in weapon turrets, some planetary bases and the escape pod, but I'll keep eyes open and pay more attention to other containers/cannisters/weapons/etc.

Uploading now number 7, Anaconda for scale.

Number seven also had a small submodule named -003 (not mistake with -03). I have no idea how this is connected or not. It is a U shaped module and I could just fit the Asp Explorer inside the corridor. Same tags as the rest of the modules, no additional tags at all.

Next is module 8:

This is the longest part I've seen, and has this huge part in the middle that probably connects other parts.

At this point I assume the messages are random as I have found the same messages in different module numbers and the same module numbers with different messages. I'll keep collecting all the messages here, but no longer related to the module number so I'll have to update OP for that.

Ok, came across another one.
No large station pieces this time, just a chunk of wall with the usual beacon.

Patrol emission scan report
[Archived emission data tables]
Secondary verification unavailable
System back-up damaged

I think we've had this message before, but what was interesting was a few of the wreckages, this being the biggest among them:

Unless I'm mistaken I don't think we've seen Imperial equipment at these sites before.

And lastly, an Eagle, cockpit gutted as usual:

Nice work Ilo. Been following the thread since you posted. I have some pics but none that add to what you already have. As you've noted there's a correlation between some of the markings and ground station markings.
I got a bit side tracked by other in game bits but I'll likely be focusing on this 'mystery' for a bit.

CRP is an acronym the IAEA uses. In their parlance it stands for "Coordinated Research Project". https://www.iaea.org/OurWork/ST/NE/NEFW/Technical-Areas/NFC/spent-fuel-management-CRP-T13015.html

I've trolled through the books and don't see anything obvious for what CRP stands for (and will feel foolish if it's already been determined in one of the many threads and I missed it).

I've seen eagles, cutters, T9, acanconda, diamondback, sidewinders, condors, a vulture.. no tinfoil..

What we're missing is a centre

So far we appear to have a roughly octagonal corridor like structure with some T junctions which presumably met at a central junction. We can probably safely assume this vessel used rotation for gravity and the people were all in the corridor structures where their data beacons have been left.

The central section? This new engine I guess - but what and more importantly right now Where is it?

Found two this evening. One in Primi. I didn't have Shadowplay running for that one, but I did for the other one. I'll watch the video tomorrow and take snaps of the details. I can't place right now which system it was in, but it''l be on the vid.

The one in Primi was the 'Exceptional Scrambled Emission Data', 'Here's hoping this data gets out.....' etc. message. The other one was different.

I was just about to blast off from the first one when I noticed what I thought was a Sidewinder watching me. I gave it a very close look and it looked for all the world like a gutted Sidewinder, now that I've seen the pics ^^^ of similar gutted ships, I'm convinced that's what it was. The site in Primi had what looked like a gutted Viper III floating nearby.

The plot thickens.

Edit: Just watching the video and there's a serial no. 23810-02. is that a Lucky One? Do I win a goldfish or just the bowl to keep it on?

System was HIP 5623, Incoming reads:

'Another day, another emissions data scan. Attached data contain the full scan data for this patrol; [Full Emission Data Table]. Irregular Communications Handshake Received'.

Whatever they were doing sounds tedious. Right up until the Irregular Comms Handshake, I would guess. Then their trip probably took a turn for the worse.

Second Edit: There's also a destroyed, gutted Eagle floating around too.

oh we all are lucky if you get some pics of the 02 part, we only have one and doesn't look like the best we could take!

Ah.

Ummm. Errrr. Well. Ummm.....I was sort of upside down (or the wreckage was) but the Serial/ID/Reg No., whatever it is, is clearly visible. I just didn't investigate that bit of wreckage very much.

I'd make the video available but I don't have a Youtube account and don't really want to start one. Is there any other way? Anyone got a Dropbox or such that I can up it to?

even if they are not the best quality for now, could you take a couple of screenshots from the vídeo ala printscreen key?, no need to upload the full vid.

USS

So I just found this mess in a 0 threat Encoded Emissions USS, thought I would add a piece to the puzzle :) The number 03 module was spinning so it was hard to get clear shots of everything esp in debug mode.

First view when I dropped in:

Closer, this module is number 03

Another piece of module in the same wreck, numbered 001:

You're welcome, this is an awesome mystery so I'm glad to be a part and able to help. Been reading over this entire thread and it's cool to see everyone's thoughts and what they have found. I'll have to dig through my old photos and see if there's anything else to contribute.
