(Well funny to me, maybe not to you) I just realized your first post examples lists a whole bunch of gazelles, I never noticed that before! Are you a gazelle fan? (Me, I'd probably curl up and scream and boycott if we got that many gazelles, but to each their own! )

I'd rather see 10 more gazelle's and antelopes than 1 American Black Bear, 1 Nile Crocodile, 1 Asian Lion and 1 Red Deer. You can't mean to say you find Sable Antelope and Gemsbok boring?!?

Eh, different people like different things. I don't find them boring but I think the base game went so heavily in on them that there's just not much in that animal group that I'm really wanting.

I read new lists from time to time and I can really see that they were more unique in the beginning and now they are heavily influenced by the most popular animals on the mega list but it’s natural I guess. There is limited number of animals and in the end people tastes for animals are quite similar. The list was very calm just before the new DLC release and the renaissance is now going through is very promising.
I think random goat changed his personal example list exactly not to influence other people with his popular choices.

I totally agree! I submitted my list long time ago, before the aquatic pack was announced, and if I had to do a new list now, I would change some things for sure.

Yeah, I changed the example list yesterday and yes I am a fan of antelopes, gazelles, goats, etc. hehe. I've changed that list 5-6 times already not to influence other people. I figured a list full of random gazelles would never influence anyone

Exactly, as I said above I change the list periodically to avoid influencing other people.

I reckon the meta-wishlist definetely influences new submissions. But I'm not sure whether it does so more now than in the beginning. In the last few days I've added 20-25 brand new species to the list so, fortunately, very niche personal preferences are still a thing!

EDIT: Yeah, I bet that's the case for many people. That's why I think starting a new meta-wishlist in a few months, like others mentioned, could be a good idea. I'm not doing it now because this is still active and only a few months have passed since it was started. The potential new one will probably be 20 habitat animals instead of 30, though.

It's probably for an april fools thing that he forgot to change. As the first list had a lot less gazelles

If there'll be king cobras and green anacondas as exhibit ones in Planet Zoo, will there be extra large(r) exhibit? King cobras' the longest venomous type. Green anaconda's the longest non-venomous type and of all snakes. Both those giant snakes could swim and like water so their enclosure could/should have water.

Something interesting I'm noting, and I don't want anyone to take this the wrong way by any means. There's so many postings about wanting more animals from Australia and Oceania, myself included (wombat being my second most wanted animal). But as a whole the priorities don't reflect that. The highest ranked animal from that area is the Tasmanian Devil at #14, and the second/third are tied at #23, being the Wombat and Emu. To get to the next one you have to go out of the top 40. Honestly if I read the numbers as a developer, I could see why they would not give a return to this area a priority.

Its important to remember that while continent/area themed DLCs are the majority, nothing dictates to Frontier that they only have to do these. We might as well get a different themeing of the packs as with Aquatic one. Area themed are the most obvious ones, but there is not that many continents left, so we migh as well see different theming later, where the devs can get really creative with the animal choices.

Good point. I think some non-region packs would get some of the more requested animals in. I still wish for a Jungle/Forest pack, that could take care of 2 of the top 3 from that region.
