6 Interdictions in Solo mode in a single supercruise run seems a little excessive .

It seems like they changed the npc interdiction difficulty with the recent patch. I had two successive Interdictions that I actually had to fight against. It kept me on my toes a bit more and it was fun. Still haven't ever lost an Interdiction though.

Ooo! I hope so. I hope the epilepsy inducing judder interdictions have been sorted too.

I guess I am going to have to get a T-9 and see what the problem is.. As best I can figure it out, my Python with a 202 ton LTD load should have the same " SC flight characteristics" as an empty T-9.
As soon as I see the punks threat message I throttle down to 5% and wait for him to get locked and the I pleasurably beat the mini-game. So far this has worked in every ship I have used.
Read here >> https://forums.frontier.co.uk/threads/hey-yall-watch-this.534559/ << on my reasoning for setting 5% in SC to make beating the interdiction so easy.

I am still using the 50% advice I picked up on the forums a while back, time for some testing as soon as the stations stop burning and start repairing I will set my T9 up with a 5% throttle and see how I do.

As others have said, if you have stacked missions, lots of valuable cargo, or (probably) important passengers, the number of people out to get you increases.

Have you had the case of one enemy interdiction you and when you decide to fight, the enemy for another missions joins in also.? 😳

Stick to shipping bio waste. 😉

Now I use a Corvette as my main mission ship, I like getting interdicted :D In fact I will state that if I have despatched 3 out of the 4 'Incoming Enemy Alert' ships and I arrive at the destination station, I will throttle down to idle in SC and wait for the 4th to turn up. Since taking this approach I am making far more credits (not that I need any more), my Combat ranking is slowly going up whilst I am doing tasks I enjoy, and my Mat bins are filling to maximum.

So yeah you evil NPC's line up to interdict me, I dare you :D

This is what I do!

I've even dropped out of SC near the station, backed away a bit (to about 10km) and sit and wait for that last pirate to 'pop' in. :D

What I find that is annoying, you submit, you may fight for awhile, get his shields down and some of his hull, but then you may be losing your shields also, at which point I usually cut and run. Jump to SC and of course, the yahoo chases you, your shields haven't fully recharged, but not only are his shields recharged, but his hull is at full health as well. Its extremely stressful if you're not in a combat fitted ship and are just ferrying cargo and/or doing missions. I can generally beat the interdiction in most of my ships, but I have a few, the Defender and T9 are prime examples of ships that are difficult to beat an interdiction with.

I can understand that, even though I've never owned or flown any of the 'T' ships or the Defender. During my progression in this game, I only bought ships that could both run missions and defend themselves to some degree. But I too had difficulties with the smaller ships in the scenario you described. :)

Once I bought my Python though, things got a little bit easier. Then once I managed to unlock all of the engineers, I could outfit my Python to handle those pirates and still haul mission cargo. I have a armed-trader vette that is also outfitted for cargo missions and I think of it as my Python's Big Brother. :)

Since I usually run Assassinations/Massacre missions, it's a real boon for me when somebody interdicts me. I'm out to get those guys.

They interdict me like "Let's fight!" and I'm like..

I think the "50% throttle advice" and the "submit and try to run" advice were deliberately spread all over the place by the gankers so they can kill newbies.

50% throttle in normal space will generally put you in the "blue" zone where your ship will have the most maneuverability. BUT!! There is ABSOLUTELY nothing anyplace that I can find that says that the "agility rating" applies when the ship is in Supercruise.

Be sure to read that whole thread and think about the mechanics of how an interdictor works. Read here >>> https://elite-dangerous.fandom.com/wiki/Frame_Shift_Drive_Interdictor <<

Some of us don’t fly as well as others or have sub optimal ships, I know I don’t fly well enough to beat all NPC interdictions in my T9.
Yeah, no, you're absolutely right. Honestly it was a jerkish post by me; I felt bad about it afterwards. I'm sorry. I meant it sort of just jokingly like "Really, man?" but it was insensitive and dumb.

Yep. As soon as I finish this mining operation I am on, I am going to buy a T-9. I simply cannot believe that it cannot beat the interdiction.

It can, but the escape is harder work than in other, less ungainly ships - and should you lose the focus, failure is even more likely.

@aRJay - I won't berate your flying skills... but I admit to not being perfect so don't have the right :)

Wasn't really that jerkish, just a little insensitive to the people who fly T9s, who already have enough problems as is.

You can sometimes beat interdictions in a T9, but sometimes you can't. It is a space brick. Part of the reason why I avoid it.
