6 Interdictions in Solo mode in a single supercruise run seems a little excessive .

Interdictions is my least favorite feature of ED it's just the way I'm wired. I don't want to only carry 1 mission at a time to a system other than the system where I picked up the mission. It's would be a waste to run 90% empty when my Python can carry 280 units and my Cutter can carry 720 units. When you mine asteroids are you required to be attacked by 6 pirates every time you mine?

You never get attacked at all if you don't mine inside the bubble. Try in these systems.

They also pay pretty good exploration data.

OP, you are correct. Chained interdictions are annoying and a waste of our time. Frontier could easily impose a cap on these.

Not taking multiple missions to the same system is often unrealistic and a waste of your time. Given the amount of time-gating that Elite requires, we can hope that Frontier becomes more sensitive to this and iterates on a better missioning system.

I'm not sure what stage of combat you are, but when I accept multiple cargo or delivery missions, I often swap into a combat ship first, wait for the enemies to come to me, destroy them serially, collect the loot (which is frequently high grade), and then when all the 'incoming enemy' alerts are finished, I then continue on with deliveries. This may work for you too.

I know this won't solve enemies who insta-warp, magically intercept, and interdict you sideways - leftovers from the poorly designed and implemented interdiction mechanic Frontier introduced shortly after Horizon's release. That was mostly fixed after an outcry from the community, although elements still persist.

Good Speed!

Thank you Delilah,

I have no combat rank and not looking to. I only wish to trade cargo and explore. I continue to take missions even though I hate interdictions.

Thus missing the point of the game completely. Without challenges dead set on making you fail your goals, why bother playing?

You really only need to cover fuel cost and make repairs, so just trade enough goods for that and the number of interested parties trying to stop you will go down.
As for exploring, the only issues are your own capability and on a return to sell date, the token pirate or two trying to steal your exploration data.

Elite is all about the interdictions. Has been from 1980.

Get allied with the factions in the systems you trade in and keep clean of fines and bounties.

I almost NEVER get interdicted.

The interdiction rate is all over the place in Elite Dangerous. Some people get interdicted all the time, other people (like me) don't ever seem to get interdicted at all... It needs to be fixed so it's more consistent for all players. I did try raising it as an issue, but I just got repeated replies that it's "working as intended".

Unless you make the mistake of flying a Type-9, then it's a real chore.
Read what aRJay has posted in this thread at my suggestion. As soon as you see the threat in the comm screen, throttle back to 5% speed. aRJay has posted that even the T9 does very well beating the interdiction.
Read what I have written about interdiction. Look at the videos in the link I posted. beating the interdiction is the best free training someone can get on staying on a target.

Thank you for mentioning the systems. I will check them out as soon as I can.

I enjoy the simulator aspect of the game not the combat side.

I could maybe enjoy the combat side if it had a purpose. A Galactic wanted list of gankers could give me a purpose. Right now I play in wing in PG because I want to avoid unwarranted attacks by human players.

Haulage missions are broken in Elite and are not great for many reasons. The constant (and super boring and unchanging) wave of 4 deadly Anacondas spawning to interdict you is just one of the problems. Space Trucking in Elite needs a serious amount of love. I’ve been pleading with Frontier on these forums for a few years to throw space truckers a bone. Let’s see what the new era has I guess.

One example: If Frontier had single missions that could fill the hold of larger ships, like 400-700t missions for example, that would do a lot to reduce these interdictions. Stacking a bunch of 120t - 180t missions really does increase the rate of NPC interdictions a lot. Haulage is actually fun in the early game when you can fill your ships hold with a single mission. Once you get above the Python though doing haulage loses all of its appeal. I never heard any response from Frontier as to why haulage maxes out at 180t. (Wing missions are not a thing for solo space truckers like me). If Frontier even fixed this one problem it would make the game way more enjoyable for me.

Stacking haulage missions in a Type-9 for pilots are are not highly skilled is not advisable given current game mechanics. If you learn to avoid the interdictions I guess you could do it. I deal with the NPC spawning 4 Deadly Anacondas issue by doing these missions in my engineered Imperial Cutter which is basically invincible to NPC’s. I can take out the 4 Deadly Anacondas that always spawn because I have 8 zillion shield HP’s. It’s not fun at all though. Just a chore. I don’t even like the look and feel of the Cutter really, I wish the Type-9 was more practical for this kind of play but it just isn’t.
