A Coaster Builder with Scenic and Building Items

In RCT2@3 they gave us a Coaster Builder but not the option to Scenic them or to build Buildings around them. The only way to do this was to open a Park or use Sandbox and have all your Scenic/Building already there and picked out of what stile you wanted. Then just use that Map to build your Coasters instead of the Coaster Builder. Save the Coaster and move it to the Map you want.

Also would like the option to select the Terrain around the Coaster as well. This way when you build a Alpine Coaster you can select the Terrain/Mountain and Scenic Items, Save them and but them in other parks, or save to Blue Prints for others to use in their parks.

If any of the Coaster went Underground while building it, it goes back Underground when Placing it.

Then when selecting everything to be saved, you Highlight the area (including Terrain) and not have to pick piece by piece. In RCT2 you were Limited on how many pieces you could save along with the coaster. Don't know about RCT3.

I'm going to try and understand what your trying to say, correct me if I'm wrong here:

You are asking for the ability to save scenery and buildings around your coaster? That is already planned and in the works, it will be added in the next Alpha release 0.3 in a month or two. Its called the "Blueprint" feature and you can see it in the game, if you put your mouse over the menu button it says coming soon.

You are also asking for the ability to save terrain, mountains and underground tunnels, etc.? That is probably a bit more complicated, others have requested this before including myself. We will have to wait and see if this will be possible, hopefully Frontier can figure it out [up] though for now, terrain is only saved with a standard park save

So the Coaster Builder will be Under Blue Prints? I do not have the game and will not for some time as my Graphics Card can't handle it.

In RCT2@3 The Coaster Builder all you could build was the Coaster itself but unable to Theme them or Build Stations or Buildings for them to go thew. Could Not build a Dark Ride in them for one. You had to use a already Opened Map that had the Scenic Items in it to build it then put it in the park you wanted. But if you built Under ground, when you placed it, it ended up Above ground. So If they cant save the terrain, just have the coaster go back underground if built that way.

I know you can build Coasters in Maps and theme them and Save them with all the themeing but is there a Dedicated Coaster Builder where all you build are Coasters like in RCT2@3?
That's what I was having to do in 2@3, using Maps already opened with the Scenic Items I wanted and just use it to build coasters because the Coaster Builder would not let me theme them.
If we can't save Terrain, every time you built a Alpine Coaster it would have to be from scratch again OR try to duplicate the Terrain around it like you had it in the Coaster Builder.

I don't understand what you mean, have you watched videos of people playing the game?

you can build a coaster with scenery and save it to load into another park using Blueprints

So No Dedicated Coaster Builder for people who just want to build Coasters. You have to build them in a Park.

Okay, Cool with that. I always thought the Coaster Builders were Pointless anyway because you could not theme them with buildings and scenic items. They WOULD Have made sense if that is what you could have done in them.

Yes I have seen Many Videos but No, Have Not seen anyone use the Blue Prints feature. Only in Parkitect.

If you want JUST a coaster and nothing else around it, you can do that in sandbox mode if that's what you wish. OR if you want a full park you can play scenario mode. This isn't like NoLimits if that's what you mean by "dedicated" coaster builder. The game is about park simulation with a focus on coasters. It has a fully feature rich coaster builder with scenery and building tools to go around it. What is missing?

In 2@3 in the Menus, They had the option for Coaster Builder that would take you to an Empty Piece of Land with the Grid On. It was like and was a Sandbox. All you could do was Build Coasters and test them, Save them, Place them in other parks/maps. They just didn't let you Theme them. I didn't use them much as I found just using the Sandbox or another Park/Map to build my Coasters before placing them in other Parks/Maps.
It didn't make any senses and was wondering if PC was planning on doing the same. It wouldn't make sense for them to do so BUT Maybe, Just Maybe, there are people out there that love to use a Coaster Builder that is nothing more than a Blank section of Land with Grids on it. And IF they did, that they would Include the tools to Theme them also then Save them to Blue Prints.
A Place people would not have to worry about finishing a scenario or as soon as they open it a bunch of guest start showing up ( OR just put in the Option to keep the Park Closed until they are ready and Not have it Auto Open as soon as you turn a ride on). A Place where ALL Scenic and Building Pieces/Styles are Available and not have to Pick and Choose like you did in 2@3- Even In Sandbox. In Unlimited, you were Still Limited to How Many Pieces/Style you could Choose.

Now IF PC's Sandbox Mode had ALL Pieces of Scenic and Building Styles Available, Without having to Pick and Choose like in 2@3, then a Dedicated Coaster Builder will not be needed.

I have not heard of any plans to implement a cad like program to just build the coaster in separate from the park.

I myself build the coasters in the park I am working on to know how they fit the park. I do remember rct2 having a function like this though. it was on a Tron like grid without textures that you could build the coaster in and then save the track file. I really didn't know that anyone used that feature or not.
