Fwiw... one tier 5 item costs 7000ish tier 1. Notwithstanding that you'll get lots of high tier items anyway... the change in material caps will make this work well i hope

That is a bit like complaining it costs many napkins to buy a Ferrari. True, but not much of an argument. If you care, you can get a whole lot of napkins for a Ferrari though! The trader is mental though: I got four beams to lvl3 efficient using two G4 and two G5 mats, ore 'lump' of each and keeping one.

It's been fine, because 1 T5 mat gives you like 81 T1 mats. Honestly, if you wanted to fast-track, you could just hunt T4-5 mats and trade for the rest

Oh it wasn't a complaint at all... though addressing the next quote...

1296

1296 Tier One -> 216 Tier Two -> 36 Tier Three -> 6 Tier Four -> 1 Tier Five

... I'm going to have to go back and re-read the screen and work out what had 7000 against it then... something did. Will find out in a min.

EDIT: Ah, I was looking at a cross-family row... that is

A tier 5 thermal material will cost 1296 Tier 1 thermal materials, or 7776 of any Tier 1 material.

What we just need is an easier way to scoop cargo witht he hatch, it feels way to annoying of minigame. Why not have a kind of mini rechargabel limpet that can gatehr stuff below the cargo hatch with some more distance?

it would help very small ships with mining, where cargo space is too small for a refinery + limpet.
