A few (ridiculous) questions from a new player^^

Hello everyone.
I still have a few small questions:
1/How many vivariums per keeper? I ask this because I had 2 keepers for 12 vivariums and each time I had to click for them to move to clean the vivariums, it was difficult
2/I'm going to put all my vivariums in one building and I want to do it on 3 floors. I'm going to put a lot of them, because I already have it and I want to continue to recover money because it's still only the beginning of my zoo so I think I have for example 30 vivariums minimum.
My question is: How to manage the employees for these vivariums? Do you think it would be smarter to put for example a staff room and the keeper cabin(s) on the 2nd floor so that all my keepers are never too far from the ground floor? ground and 3rd floor?
3/How to ensure that a caregiver is assigned to this or that viivarium, for example.
4/I thought I read that for 2 stores you needed 3 salespeople, how to manage that at the level of a work area.
5/Is there a way to change the barriers so as not to fall from a staircase?
We make an area with the 2 shops and a staff room and we put these 3 sellers, is that it?

Usually i would just have 1 keeper per 6 exhibit boxes. Make sure these are work zone keepers for the selected exhibit boxes not keepers wandering elsewhere to care for other animals. You could hire 3-4 keepers if that helps if the distance from staff room/keeper hut is too far.

If this is a multiple floor with many exhibit boxes, a large keeper hut and staff room on the 2nd floor sounds the best way around it. Having 2-3 sets of buildings for such a kimited area will raise costs more than they should be. The distance from the second floor to the ground floor shouldnt be too much an issue.
How to ensure that a caregiver is assigned to this or that viivarium, for example.
Make a work zone for this keeper. Select the exhibit boxes you want them to care for, link the closest staff room and keeper hut and allow them to do their own thing. You could have a work zone per floor with 2-3 keepers all attending the same exhibit boxes. When you have overlap on exhibits, there is a higher chance at least one keeper is on hand at all times for any urgent duties.
I thought I read that for 2 stores you needed 3 salespeople, how to manage that at the level of a work area.
The idea of 3 salespeople for 2 stores is to allow one free staff to cover for a staff that has just entering their rest time. The free staff will jump into the empty shop and resume business as soon as, rather than waiting for the staff on rest duty to return. For the work zone, simply have the 2 stores linked to a staff room and attach 3 salespeople. They will work out the rotations themselves.
Is there a way to change the barriers so as not to fall from a staircase?
Not too sure what you mean, but on the path options there are path barriers you can add if not already got them. You could always add one of the custom fences from the construction menu if the barrier is not appearing or good enough for you.

Hello, thank you for your very clear answers.
I'm happy because that's what I did, 2 keepers for 12 vivariums but they had to walk around because I was constantly alerted by "the vivarium is disgusting", something like that...
It was a bit painful ^^

For my last question I was indeed talking about barriers set automatically when desired, I don't find them very pretty but if I have to build them myself it risks being complicated^^

Hello to you, I hope you are well.
I am taking the liberty of writing to you because I have a big problem and I don't know if there are any tips to know or if I can still fix my problem.
I'll tell you where I am in the game.
I started the game maybe a month ago and I prefer to take my time.
I understood that it is interesting at the beginning to put a lot of vivariums to increase your kitty and that is why I did it as quickly as possible.
Now I just wanted to do something a little cleaner by creating a place for vivariums.
My idea was to create a mountain (it was done as best I could^^) and my idea was to make a vivarium mountain on several floors.
From the entrance to the mountain, an alley to the bottom with stairs. I put some shops and I told myself that I would take care of this floor later by wanting to make an enclosure in the middle, the idea that I had was an enclosure/pool of manchos or penguins for example.
So I focused on making 3 floors of vivariums with stairs on the sides or at the back and often with a central aisle.
It took me 3 days, it's not very pretty but I'm learning and even if the goal is mainly lucrative, I'm trying to do something worthwhile.
And now I tell you about the problem.
After having finished at the top (more or less finished, there will still be things to do of course, notably decorating it all a little) I realized that there were posts everywhere below. The supporting posts of the that we make a driveway, stairs and everything else.
And so when I came back near the entrance I noticed that I couldn't do much with all this mess.
I understood that there was the possibility of erasing these posts by putting a driveway on them but that doesn't change the fact that after that you can't build on them.
So my question is: What can we do with these posts?
Are there any tips or tricks to know when you want to build like this at height to avoid these problems?
Is it possible to create things on several floors without the lower floors receiving all the construction posts from the upper floors?^^w
I thought, afterwards, that perhaps I should have done everything at the entrance level first and gone up but would that have solved this problem? Not sure...
If you have any ideas on how to organize all of this, even from the beginning (even if I start everything again, don't hesitate to tell me in what order or how you would do it) because I really want to stick with this idea of Mountain Vivariums.
Thank you in advance for your advice.
This game fascinates me, even if I think I spent almost a week (creating an edit, thinking about the project) on something that won't be of any use to me^^
In any case, in terms of creation, even if I'm slower than a tiger snail, I have the feeling of learning every day and it's very pleasant.
PS: I don't know if it is possible to make a visitable pool underwater with a tunnel for visitors. If so, I might be interested in looking into that.

On the path menu, you can activate or deactivate the supports for elevated paths. So make sure to have supports off and then put a new path on top of the existing path you have. It will delete the supports.

Ohhhhhhhh here is an answer that pleases me and makes me look like an idiot^^^^^^
Thanks

Hello friends, a few more quick questions.
When you dig in a mountain for example, whether you use the tunnel option or not, it digs in front and necessarily in height. I need it to dig more than that in height because I plan to put, for example, shops so Is there a way to get this to dig higher?
I tried to put a reclaimed pond enclosure on the workshop to test and it always made me wonder, for what reasons do you think?
How come there are a lot of things to collect in the work shop that are blocked by the padlock even though I have all the DLC?
I often have a problem making stairs in tight enough places, it's often blocked (in pink) without me understanding why because I don't see anything blocking it, any idea?
How to make a spiral ladder, a fairly tight ladder?
Thank you in advance for your answers....

whether you use the tunnel option or not,
Personally I don't use the tunnel option as I don't like that it removes the ground from under the path. I dig manually using the pull down terrain tool but I understand this can be rather difficult to get right. You could always use the tunnelling tool then then use the pull up/pull down terrain tool to match the height you are wanting - use on a low strength percentage for better control.

How come there are a lot of things to collect in the work shop that are blocked by the padlock even though I have all the DLC?
There are 2 possibilities. One is you have research turned on and you require several themes you need to research before being able to use it. Or the blueprint is broken, I've made several blueprints that were locked on sandbox that were inaccessible for who knows what reason.

How to make a spiral ladder, a fairly tight ladder?
There should be an option for curved paths in the path settings. Curve as far as possible and make the highest stairs you can at the same time - drag mouse up and across usually. It can be a little difficult at first to get the curve right but it is possible to get a tight spiral ladder.

Id generally recommend you to drop your current plan and start out by just making normal habitats. You will learn the controls easier that way and it will be less frustrating for sure.
It will be a much better investment of your time and not only will you learn more but actually get things done, which is allways nice to see ^^

I think the plans fine, they are doing what I did back when I started out. Start an ambitious plan and see it to the end which results in greater knowledge and capabilities of building than the average person who just builds square habitats.

Fair but im not saying to drop all ambition, rather to figure out the general controlls and mechanic first before doing a multilayerd build like that so that they can grasp the game emchanics one at a time instead of all at once.
But as i said just a recommendation, if they want to go all out from the start thats also an admireable mindset

Thank you for your answers so if I understand correctly, if I want to put a building that is too big in an enclosed place like this, I have to dig myself with the tool.
Well it's not won ^^
I was thinking of making a staircase just to gain 1/2 floor or 1 floor and then make an aisle so that it digs a little higher and then remove everything afterwards but it's also a big job if this option can work

I thought I would do it later, I wanted to learn about enclosures first and take care of making buildings or personal shops later.

Hello friends and have a good weekend.
A few quick questions:
1/How to use and what are the special effects for?
2/Same question for the tab 2nd from the right at the bottom, the excavator, how to use all that?
3/I thought I read somewhere that it was possible to hide the paths of visitors (and those of employees?) under tiles to avoid seeing them, but how does it work and how do you hide your tiles afterward?
Thanks in advance

1/How to use and what are the special effects for?
There are 2 different sets of special effects. The most important effect is water, each effect sprays out water allowing you to place waterfalls inside habitats or natural areas, they are easy enough to use named waterfall, top , mid section and bottom. There is also water effects such as rapids for rivers, or fountain jets for custom made fountains. A youtube video or trial and error is the best way to get used to the different water effects. Also if you own the aquatic pack, there are premade large waterfalls which I love using.

The second set of effects is ambience. I personally never use these but options such as smoke, mist, falling snow, falling leaves can be useful when making an interesting guest experience. Place the effect object inside an object to make them look more natural.

the excavator, how to use all that?
The excavator tool is simply a delete tool. You can delete selected objects which you can choose in the menu, simply a more focused and quicker way than clicking an object and deleting it.

Yes you can which makes larger path areas such as a zoo entrance look more realistic than having a bunch of paths connecting with terrain poking through. Use flat scenery pieces like a floor piece such as a wooden floor or stone floor . Problem is that guests will clip through these floor pieces, they cannot walk ontop of scenery pieces but only the path itself so it may appear guests lose their feet if you place the floor too high up.

It's a difficult process especially in areas with slopes or varying terrain. But it can make staff paths look much nicer instead of the ugly planet zoo pattern on them.

Thank you very much for your answers, I'm going to look for the video you're talking about because I'm considering putting something in my vivarium mountain because otherwise it will be too bland.
I wanted to put some on the walls but not sure if it would be possible^^
I'm going to try to put the entire staff below with a staircase that goes up to the surface of the vivariums, it might be messy but I'm going to take my time.

Hello everyone, after about a week spent making my vivarium mountain; I think it will be functional today or tomorrow.
Honestly, she's not that bad and that's nice.
Afterwards I have a problem with lighting, I made 3 outings but it remains very dark so I have two solutions, make other holes in the mountain to let the sun in but I don't like it, or use objects that give light.
But then which ones are the most interesting for such a dark and vast place and how to use them (how to position them?)
Where would you put the generator(s)? (I had thought of putting wind turbines or solar panels but they don't go as far as the vivariums.
In terms of security, the only thing I did was to put 2 or 3 security personnel, do you think it is better, even if I only have the vivariums for the moment, to put cameras? Is there no building to build for that?
Last question, aren't there any illuminable letters (to put it somewhere so that it's clearly visible?)
Thank you...

Hello to you.
Who are the most interesting employees to train?
Security and maintenance agents, what do you connect them to in the work areas? (toilets for maintenance agents and what else?)
THANKS
