Not any longer no. It was like that a long time ago. Now it only hurts your rep with the faction.
Huh, when was it changed? Last I remember abandoning missions did not count, because it was too easy.

Brett has just replied (and closed) the thread I started asking for a specific BGS forum: Any chance of an ED BGS sub forum.
Pity. There has been an average of one BGS thread per day, and 1.5 pages in this thread per day, in the 10 days since I created the thread. There are sub forums that haven't had that amount of activity this year.
Shame. So short sighted of Brett if you ask me. Potentially, I suppose a subgroup in the Exploration, Guides section could make sense but to say not enough activity is just .
And bearing in mind this is not something the community have made up (like Exploration groups or player 'Clans') I don't understand why they don't push it more.

famine is a state, in which combat actions and bounty hunting have no effect - so, the one mission you have shown should not have an influence effect for the minor faction, which is giving it out.
the other one (data transport) should have an influence effect.
several states produce missions, which have no effect on influence - for exampel war "fetch commodity" missions.
valid? yes. usefull? no.
Well that deliver mission was just on the board, it was the famine and the election state missions that I meant to focus on (further down the page linked on inmugr). The missions appear to me to have been introduced with patch 2.2. I doubt that they actually help the states that are listed, the targets are in systems outside of those factions influence and will add to wreaking the influence of the faction whose ships are listed.
So does anyone reckonise these missions? I lean towards them being an old mission type that is now being generated by the wrong strings associating them with a bgs state that should not be generating them.
The most likely explanation is they are similar to the existing "wartime delivery" missions - just fancy text.
Did V2.2 change the Priorities of Pending State Expansion vs. Active Boom back to "old times" ?
Passenger missions those affect influ right ?
I'm wondering if they do.
I did a few a couple of nights ago, but the source system influence went down rather than up. There has been a bit of extra player activity in the system due to players travelling to the alien base, so it's hard to tell.

You need an untouched system to be sure no one else is interfering. That means going outside the bubble.
It was exactly that a week ago. Now it's popular. Not a complaint, as all this fits very well with our faction's lore.
In short: No. You might have miscalculated. Warm up time is 5 full days afterall. We had a retreat replace an economic state immediately as intended (1 day warm-up) and be replaced by war as well (retreat after 2 days finished). Everything works fine. Expansions as well.
Should be the last day. Tomorrow you should have expanded, if not today. The galactic map always lacks some time behind, the faction info in system counts.
