A Lavigny-Duval Cycle Two Target Discussion

Just updated the main post.
Our actual CC points are available showing our fortificatino bonus from last cycle. We are up from 1038CC to 1543CC.
That means we can afford 10 systems to prepare.
We need more targets.

Guathiti is probably stuck there. We should stop trying to move above it and focus on getting 4 more systems in there to replace the bottom 3 and Peraesii if we can.

These are listed as systems to target:
Hip 21778
Teliadjali

What else does everyone recommend?

Does Maiku make sense? Or is that easy to leave alone for now and look at next cycle?

Just logged off and back in, the progress I saw for Lutni is back to 0%.
I'd say all 3 are bugged and you are probably wasting your time killing ships there until its fixed.

Are we sending bug reports en masse? The hotpatch didn't appear to fix it, so we need to keep pestering them. If they don't get it fixed before the next cycle turns, we will be in danger of losing it entirely, and having to prepare it again.

Is this Lutni specific? Or does it also stay 0% for Carvedra and that other L named system?

Yeah, gonna do that. I'll hold on to the kill confirmations I have in case they will count later once they fix things.

Maiku is in the sphere of Teliadjali, so we would get it if we get Teliadjali.

Zemetii
only 70cc but next to our territory
patronage
lots of stations
69 ly from capital
industrial / extraction

Well,

All systems are now fortified... :)

So all efforts can be focussed on opposing preparation, undermining etc.

Btw. You should not get merits now for overfortifying past the trigger.

Maybe leave in an hour grace window so people who filled the hold of an Anaconda or something before it was fortified still gets rewarded...

Their prep there is ramping up, looking at the position of BELLAUNG in the galactic map vis our space, is making me very uncomfortable. It is going to be a huge problem in the future for us.

Why are we letting this slide? Cartoi was the beachead, this is the breakout. We're being encircled.

Well we have some spare CC this turn so should we be preparing the systems behind it so that they can go no further?

I agree, find somewhere thats not within 15 ly of bellaung and post its name.
Preferably one with a large station close to the star.
It might even be worth selecting a system that hasn't got great CC value, just for its blocking position.

Very much this. Don't get into another ing match. Lavigny's Legion is handling our diplomacy for the moment, and they haven't ed up majorly yet, so they can deal with confrontations. For now, don't directly oppose, but preliminarily stop their progress.

Good to hear. Teliadjali it is.

The problem is aisling is either better organised or has more support. I think we're better not wasting effort on a fight we can't win and focusing on expanding into the empty regions away from our Imperial rivals. Once we have an unassailable position we'll be better able to deal with aisling.

Personally I'm happy to let it go for now. They have it firmly entrenched in their Top Ten and it's not on our's at all. It could end up turning into a race like Cartoi, a drain on our resources.

In relation to Bellaung the Lavigny Legion have mentioned it in their plans on Reddit, I'll link it. They talk of a halt to hostilities with Aisling, possibly with other Empire Powers as well. I don't think any of us independent CMDRs here are exactly obligated to follow a Player Group's orders though.

On the other hand, a unified front, and common purpose might be wise in the face of adversity? What does everyone think?

I don't see a problem with trying to de-escalate tensions with other Empire Powers, if it means we can consolidate our assets, and then work together against the real enemy: the Federation.

There is Kalivunian and Damooria next to each other (near bellaung)

Kalivunian
79CC
patronage
183 ls large station
extraction industrial

Damooria
90CC
1300 ls large station
industrial

Kalivunian seems better to me, except the 11 less income. Whats everyones thoughts?

I think the issue is they can focus on one system. Thats why I believe we lost Cartoi.
We have lots of territory, and right now we can take 10 systems. They can only take 3 or 4, so they are more focused.

I agree. After this cycle we may be number 1 and basically be on everyones hit list.
We need to let the other imperials expand somewhat, taking all the systems isn't good for the empire, and its more for us to fortify.

How much do you need to outfit the clipper?

I am considering selling my fer-de-lance to buy one... But, I want to afford an upgraded one.

I've spent 35million+ on it so far and it still needs a lot of work, the biggest cost is the size 7 shield generators (a 7A cost 50million!), although you can stick with a size 6 (it should be noted that a size 7D is almost as good as a size 6A and far cheaper). I think that another 10 million will get something fairly decent though, so you could probably get a pretty good Clipper for the value of your Ferdy.

Aisling have a LOT of goons helping out. Sadly I think they have fooled a lot of naive Space Khaleese fans also along the way.

Hopefully the hangers on will realise what is going on...

Though for Aisling's sake, it has to be said that as a power they are sort of boxed in.

So what are they to do?

I agree that we should defend our border, but also have some understanding for their situation.

Hopefully the diplomacy can be sorted out and some of the goon leadership of Angels bypassed and ignored.

I am sure it is possible to come up with a mutual agreeable solution for both powers so we can in the end focus on the real enemy of Imperial way :)

Btw, I have asked several times? Anyone of you in Lavigny's legion? I think I will look into it...
