What is DSSA?

The DSSA, or Deep Space Support Array is a initiative idealized by Qohen Leth with the objective of creating a network of Carriers offering explorers and expeditionary events the necessary infrastructure out in the black. For more information check the Qohen’s post here.

DSSA Stellar Oasis

DSSA Stellar Oasis will be launching from BD-22 3573, starting system for the Aphelion Expedidion, on June 9th. Once the carrier is fully fueled and operational it will start it's journey to Explorer's Anchorage where the second refueling phase will begin.
After the second refueling is finished, DSSA Stellar Oasis will head to Sleepers Solance (OOH CHRUIA LM-W F1-3 ) where at this point, the Stellar Oasis will separate from the fleet and start it's journey towards Mare Somnia sector.

The DSSA Stellar Oasis will be fitted with the following services:
  • Refuel
  • Repair
  • Armoury
  • Shipyard
  • Outfitting
  • Universal Cartographics
Check the online spreadsheet for an updated status of the carrier. Here you will be able to check all the checkpoints and current tasks of the carrier for better coordination between the carrier commander and passengers. Keep in mind that this table can, and will be updated live to include or delete waypoints such as emergency stops or refueling locations.

Any questions and coments feel free to comment in this post or message me on Discord: Victor Wolff#0147

I would love to sign onto your Carrier for the journey to Mare Somnia. Happy to bring a long some Tritium fuel, or a mining laser for those needs. Mostly just looking for passage.

I am on board with 64 tons of tritium but you are dull now if I leave I may miss the launch or should I log off?

Hey, sorry for taking that long to reply...
DSSA Stellar Oasis will be jumping at 00:40UTC

You don't need to be online for the jump... Just make sure you are docked at the Carrier!

I went to bed 5 mins before launch, shame, never mind am on board and will see another launch soon. So many questions about fleet carriers. If you transfer ship or modules price depends on distance doesn't it? what happens if your ship blows up do you go to nearest carrier or station? can you buy a ship on a carrier? can you suicide back to bubble? How to mine for tritium (icy rings, surace deposit?), how does commodity market work on carrier, it only lists tritium, can I mine other things and sell to carrier.....

Hey CMDR! Welcome onboard, I am glad you made it :)
I'll try ti answer all your questions. Lets go...

1) If you transfer ship or modules price depends on distance doesn't it?
Yes, but princes and time is only applied to the distance the Carrier is at the moment you click "transfer", so if yhe Carrier is 2000ly from the ship want to transfer, you click transfer and the Carrier moves more 2000ly the price and time will not update.

2) What happens if your ship blows up do you go to nearest carrier or station?
You will spawn in the last location you docked, being that a Carrier or a station.

3) Can you buy a ship on a carrier?
Yes, but only if the Carrier owner buy them first. For example, in the Stellar Oasis, I've bought some sidewinders, therefore you will be able to buy them in the Carrier's shipwayd. I could buy more ships to sell... But each one would take space from the Carrier and we would not have enough for fuel.

4) Can you suicide back to bubble?
Yes, but you will need to have a sidewinder for that. You first buy one from any Carrier (It is not guaranteed that Stellar Oasis will have stock forever, ships might run out of stock if other CMDRs buy them). Than you get in your sidewinder (you will lose the ship you are on, so DON'T do it on your main ship) and kill yourself, in the rebuy screen chose to spawn in the bubble with a new sidewinder. Now is only a matter of transferring your ships that are on the Carrier back to the bubble.

5) How to mine for tritium (icy rings, surace deposit?)
Tritium is mined just like any other mineral, it is recommended to head to a Tritium hotspot. You can mine it in surface (mining laser) or sub-surface (displacement missile).

6) How does commodity market work on carrier, it only lists tritium, can I mine other things and sell to carrier...
Commodity market is controlled by the Carrier's owner. So the owner can set buy and sell orders. In case of the Stellar Oasis, I've only created a buy order for Tritium, because that is the only commodity we need for the trip. Carriers can buy and sell essentially everything, but I am not planning on having any commodity apart from Tritium.

Hope I've answered all your questions! If you have any doubts, feel free to contact me :)

Fantastic, thanks for this, so I will buy one sidewinder just in case, and no point in mining void opals or LTD I think. I think respawn is closest station , maybe it changed from last docking point, not sure. I need to check your schedule to see how long I can be out of the carrier when I next log on. I can help with mining tritium, although it doesnt show how full the carrier is. Thanks for the trip by the way, I cannot afford a carrier, I only make money when I am exploring.
