I took the opportunity to take a look at some of the other ships with it in the video, but I was wondering if this is a bug of some kind and if it is if anyone has bumped into it before.

As it stand's I'll probably reset my pilot as the whole thing stuck me as fairly odd, but just thought I'd ask before I went ahead.

No they gifted us 1.5 mil on friday so your abit behind the times it will be wiped next thursday though so think george best.

Well on Friday I was in a delirious state, so this windfall was not something I was in a position to appreciate (rather more interested in OTC pills). Thanks for the heads up all the same. I think I'll keep the Eagle I have lying around just go vandalize some ships, or maybe rebuy the Cobra. Either way some fun videos possible.

About Premium Beta, Streaming and videos

Hi everyone,

I'm quite new to Elite but I'm getting very excited with this game, it's development and everything about it. I love space sims and I've played games like Homeworld, Freelancer and X.

I'm planning on buying the Premium Beta to back the game, help in development and learning everything about it.

I'm also working on creating a youtube channel with gameplays from videogames and showing them to people (in Spanish, though) and I'd really like to make a serie of videos about Elite: Dangerous while learning to play it. I think it would be really interesting.

So here is the question: ¿Is there some sort of NDA or limitation in making videos and/or streaming beta stuff like in other videogames? I've been searching for it, but I cannot find anything and given the open development of the game my thoughts are that there isn't any, but no harm in asking first.

Be aware of the latest limitations of YouTube and using music in your videos.

YouTube currently uses an automated system looking for copyrighted music in videos and taking down those that do not comply with their rules and giving the money earned by the clicks to the rights holders.

Lots of people have been caught out by this and it seems that the system is overly aggressive as even copyright free music is being targeted in some cases.

This seems the best place to ask so apologies if its not. I am curious if anyone knows exactly how many alpha and beta backers there currently is and how many the game can handle at any one time.

I remember that DB said that there were approximately 3000 Alpha Backers. Dunno how many Premium Backers will be added to the mix.

Yeah, pretty much.

That's why I browse sites like jamendo for music. There are great artists there who lend you their music freely in exchange for authoring credits. Besides, music is kind of secondary to gameplays, so no problem on that.

Due to my ill-gotten mega wealth I will now squander it on new ships, thus forming the one-man "Top Gyro" operation. Here I am testing the Eagle (presumably the Eagle Mk.1). My testing methodology as a "Top Gyro" tester for such a maneuverable craft is to illegally park it and then ram it into the side of a space station.

Guys as alpha comes to an end this will be my last alpha video, so I would like to thank all of you that helped me with testing during this phase. I would also like to thank the Space Cows for some superb acting skills, especially the xxx scene ;p

For my last video I would like to show you some combat in the Anaconda.

My ship is equipped with all fixed lasers and I try some combat in an Asteroid field.

I hope you all enjoy and any of you willing to take up the challenge please let me know in the forum and we can set up a time/place. Lasers at dawn is my favourite ;p
