A POTENTIAL LEAD (Message from Professor Alba Tesreau, former Head of Research of Aegis)

Ok, so based on that...

We now know this Caleb Wycherley fella is the Witch, and all signs point to him (not her!) being Salvation, sticking around due to a copious diet of progenitor cells for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Oh, and is a genocidal nutjob with some serious master race tendancies. So rather than being "salvation", turns out he's more like Space Hitler. And in addition to being behind the Superweapon we know about, is also behind Project Seraph and the Black Flight. (Who, looking back, their ships being designated with "SV" makes sense)

I just realized his last name would be pronounced
Witch-erly
. I haven't heard the logs yet, so I didn't make the connection.

Can someone DM me a picture of the first log as i deleted the log before reading it, and it's not showing for me in my codex.
Edit: NVM, already found a picture of it

Did anyone else not get a Codex entry for this?

I wish I was not excluded of the Aegis personal newsletter because I missed a CG months ago. Missed a good chunk of "hidden" lore cg back then. And almost missed that one. Dunno if the meta alloy CG counted recently, but people were farming that one so hard I didn't do it either. 75% was 46, that's 23 relog....

I feel it's a bit too exclusive for my taste. We should be able to get on board if we scan the log or something.

On the bright side, since I stopped supporting Salvation a while ago, he doesn't send me mail either.

A bit like naming the Colonia Bridge megaships, I guess...
To name them, one had to participate... Mine is CB36 "Reaper's Retreat"

...but you could just go and scan the logs and get your 'participation medal' so you don't feel as if you have 'missed out', couldn't you? (I will, as I didn't bother with the CG either, most are of no interest to one who plays as I do)

See this is one element to my dislike of online games.

The ephemeral holds no magic for me - a single player experience you can play whenever you have time, even if that's ten years from now, and enjoy what the developer has crafted yourself, rather than reading about it on a forum before it's gone forever (EDIT: ...if you couldn't participate, for whatever reason), and you can save the game whenever real life calls, and pick up later, exactly where you left off.

Multiplayer has its draw for those who like that sort of thing, but personally, I was sorely disappointed when it was decided ED would be that, and so much of the what I find to be weaknesses of the game stems from compromises made to accomodate it. :/

Luckily, it was also possible to collect meta-alloys similarly to guardian artefacts with limpets. The lot was five per relog.
But if you don't want to support the CG goal, although still are interested in the story, you could put in just one unit. It also benefits other players, in that prize bands increase.

Yeah, too late anyway. Kinda salty because I missed the first occasion since I stopped following Salvation CG because I didn't want to follow him. So I missed the news about the other CG. Which is ironic.
And I didn't want to join the meta alloy because it was a real grind. Didn't know you could get in with a single meta alloy, I thought you'd had to get 75% minimum. Plus I didn't know they were still doing the exclusive mail list again.

I just wish picking the log would get us on the mail list, or add some mission to deliver whatever to palin or such to join in.

Went to the "B" area last night (got in late so only had a chance to physically check out B1). The Irregular Markers are just a few containers of various items (nerve agents being one of them). One of the two locations had six escape pods, no name on them so I guess "just guys" of no particular importance. Minor wreckage was a large block (looked like a small house) with more containers and escape pods, same for "Distress Beacon". No data points at any of them that I could find.

Noted later on in this thread that there ARE datapoints to listen to but it doesn't appear to be in any of the "B" star's domain. There IS one planet in the "A" star's domain that has nine human signals so I'm guessing that's where I'll head next later this morning.

BTW, no I didn't receive a note from anyone, just reading it here. :)
