The snuffledormpftz of a pilot couldn't believe his floony luck. He'd been given a persnipotous job yet again. Verilimonet pequots stood as silent hindrance to the task at hand. As the takalgul star shined its gouspie light upon the hull of the ship, rancorpid yuffles flew in walsuppuiel circles like ganlestely Epoks. He focused on the Walfurngums in their tarlepitous garms and said a silent pranier to the Fulns of Arunt, Waltisc, and Erunta. Sarmonic success was only yafolipple light years aweint.

"I can't believe Psykokow read all that."

"He's special, alright. Time to deliver him to the insane asylum."

On that note I'll close the entries for tonight. Any entries after this point are undoubtedly the greatest drabbles I have ever read and would have surely won if they'd been entered before the deadline.

Halfway to nowhere is a lonely place, scanner is empty of contacts. Even the planets seem dark and hostile.
“Damn 5 astrological bodies and no earth likes” The sound of his own voice helped keep loneliness at bay. He checked his log and his stomach dropped “2 years!”
Thoughts deferred from his mission to family and loved ones left behind..
A pod bleeped softly reminding of the importance of his mission and finding an Earth like for this embryo, this insect eating manufactured creature.
All it needed was an Earth Like Ecosystem to flourish, safely far enough away from home.

Seeing as I don't want Psykokow's Drabble to be the greatest Drabble ever... which would've surely won blah blah blah..., I've shifted the goalposts along a bit.

It's christmas and I had a lot of topics i thought about Greek Elf's, Santa's Sack, Holy Hole, It's a Christmas Tree, Gold, Frank and Mire....

Please bear in mind that this is a family forum, read by little people with impressionable minds and old folks who are easily shocked. We want as many people as possible to feel comfortable on this thread. Don't write anything that you wouldn't want to read out in front of your family. It may appear a little hypocritical of me to ask you to watch your language. I myself sometimes find it difficult to know what is and isn't acceptable. The rule of thumb I use is that if think my words are shocking enough to cause faux outrage by a hypocritical tabloid newspaper, then I don't post it.

Our theme this week was picked by last week's winner who proved that begging, groveling, and harassing your Twitter followers CAN and WILL grant you a win. Congrats to Listeri69 (aka Simon Winnard, Shoutyman, and whatever is written in Stall 3 about him) for picking....

The desolation viewed from the foot of the Eagle's boarding ramp was complete. All organic material had been stripped from the settlement leaving nothing but the steel and concrete ribs of the buildings, rock, and drifting sand.

"What the hell happened here? Pirates couldn't.... Do you hear a chittering?"
A tide of small furry shapes boiled out of the ruins heading straight for them.
"Trumbles! Get us out of here!"

Furry blobs clawed at the canopy as they blasted out of the atmosphere, before finally falling away.

"Supercruise engaged. That was close."
“Wait, what’s that noise coming from the hold?”

"It first started when you heard an echoing evil laugh when you entered Witchspace?"

Frank replied to the exorcist "Not evil. More a dirty laugh." He demonstrated by hitting the hyperspace button.

The weird whispery echoes of a normal transit through Witchspace were accompanied by the disembodied voice of a very shouty man. It was singing Postman Pat.

"There is a presence here. Witchspace makes it easier for it to 'cross over'. I can exorcise it, but it seems happy where it is, and it's a benign spirit. Are you sure you want me to?"

Frank scowled "Oh god, Yes!"

Careless collisions cost credits commander, control celerity cautiously

"So commander, care to explain what happened?"
The commander gave a sheepish look; "I had an accident?"
"Keine Scheiße herr Sherlock!" the officer snarked, "We have speed limits for a reason you know."

She directed up, towards a docked Type 9, with a large gash on it.
"And of course, you'll be billed for rounding up his spilled cargo as well as the damage."

Another wave, further down the docking bay, directed at a large cluster of birds.
"That's five hundred tons of unwanted pheasants to collect."
She pulled over a cleaner's trolley, "And *you* are on guano cleanup duty!"
