"We need ta celebrate it! We should have a band, biscuits, gin, and a cheap raffle for some crap merchandise! I know, I'll get Commander Evenstar to scratch some Hutton Orbital Radio logos into a few faulty mugs. They've got holes in 'em. Best for use by drunkards like Cecil. Helps increase gin sales too. But the band... you know, 1,285 years ago, Prince passed away. Let's hire his hologram!"

Having waited hours for the concert's headline act the crowd's mood had grown sour.
"I understand the secrecy but we've not even had a warm up act on stage, I'm nearly out of Gin!" Drawled Cecil.
"Yeah but for a chance to see Cmdr Hugh Mann perform I'd wait for eternity" Cmdr Toyah gave Cecil a wink, "its not the mystery they said it would be".
As the music began, pyrotechnics exploded, and a burly trucker shouted "that's not our anthem!"
Then the curtain lifted and the crowd recoiled in horror as purple sparks rained down on the reanimated Ƭ̵̬̊

A Celebratory Raid (erm its missleman honest 
the skimmer hummed as it buzzed the commander overhead
the srv had taken some serious damage as it attacked the base
finally with a final flurry the skimmer crashed down they had entry at last
it was only a matter of time before the prison doors were breached and their objective complete
'cut the power, cut the power' came the shout over the coms as several more srvs dropped from ships
an explosion rocked the station causing a minor moonquake prisoners stormed out
'hold it, not all these prisoners are going to celebrate, keep that large pig windy one back'

The kittens ran about, chasing the string. Little did they know the string was attached to Cmdr Kow's onesie. As the filthy rag unraveled, so did Kow's sanity. His modesty flopped out.
Storm looked up and said, "Where's my present? I'm 2 months old!"
Somewhere, the Ghost of Jimmy Savilles interest peaked.
"Now then, now then" said Zen. "Let's bring it down a notch down there!"
Kow wiggled in his seat as he maneuvered the pink Orca into dock.
"But where is Storm?" Naked Kow asked as he stood. Did he always have a tail? Zen celebrated the single-use foodbowl.

The convoy was beginning from orbit of Lave 2, the credits to hire the fleet of ships was massive, almost 10 million credits on this special day. The groom and bride had their own T9 and so did each family, there was a wedding Barge and a Party Barge. The wedding was in full swing and message being sent out so that anyone within the lave system would know the happy couple here were about to be wed. as the happy couple stood there rings hand in hand the ship lurched right and exploded. Remklep smiled, one less happy couple.

Welcome to another week of Abraka Drabble, the weekly drabble competition where we invite you all to submit your drabbles, what's a drabble ?
A drabble is a short story of exactly 100 words (Excluding Title) and for the purpose of this competition it is set in the elite : Dangerous universe and to fit the theme picked by the previous weeks winner.
Last week's drabble competition was won by myself as I recycled one of Galactic Midden's old drabbles. Thus in the secrecy of a hidden back room, he & I drew up blueprints, made models, blew up said models with flicks of our fingers and little explosion sounds, and eventually chose the topic:
"Engineers"
Now we do have some rules...
1. Drabbles must be 100 words exactly (Excluding the title)
2. Over-use of-hyphens-to keep your word-count at 100 is very amusing but frowned upon.
3. Keep it as clean as you can to suit the family forum rules here, so no frogs attached to anatomical parts
4. Only the first 20 entries are guaranteed a place in the weekly poll
5. 1 entry each, you may write as many drabbles as you want, but it is assumed that your first drabble is your chosen entry unless otherwise advised. But please mark Drabbles that you don't want entered as such
6. If your drabble is under or over 100 words you will have a chance to correct it before the poll is erected, at this point, your drabble may be DQ'd if other drabbles are available to take its place.
7. Drabbles must be set in the Elite Dangerous universe (as loosely as you care to make it)
8. It should try to meet the theme in some arguable way.
9. If there is more than one theme you must match at least one, but can gain extra votes if you meet more.
10. It's all for a bit of fun, so enjoy yourself... Enjoyment is mandatory!
