Account copy and migration to pc

Hey guys,

I found out that I can migrate my PS4 account to PC on https://user.frontierstore.net/user/transfer/login-origin . But for some reason the service is offline right now. Did I miss the time window or will it be open again?
Yes and yes/no wont be the same as the june 2022 announcement...
Insure you are not blocking emails from fdev and as the announcement was made in june 2022 ... you are very very late finding out..,:)
their news web page is now....

heres the june 2022 statement but it will not be the same second time..

Edit = to insure late arrivals see the important part...

So you're telling me...
That if I just purchased a new copy of odyssey on steam, and I have an existing account on PS4 that has thousands of hours of grinding on it, and I start on my PC with a new account, I will be unable to transfer my old account to my steam account to play my old CMDR?
Not only that, but if I sign in with my old account I can play as long as frontier takes to figure out what they want to do with the transfers and then I lose all my progress up to that point when and if i can transfer my CMDR?

You guys got any work arounds for this?

What? This is FDEV's party, theirs only, we have no way to change what they are doing. Once transfers are available again use that, all progress up to that point will be preserved according to the rules FDEV lay out at the time, they will be different and not as comprehensive as previously because the versions are now separate games, but it's down to FDEV, we can't do workaround on their processes. If you purchase a new CMDR and transfer your old console CMDR to that CMDR name you will lose everything in the new CMDR, it will be replaced by your console progress, if you let FDEV create the new account for you and you will have 2 accounts, or you wait, don't buy a new account and just have the one Horizons account on PC and upgrade that to Odyssey, but the full details of what you can do will only be available once FDEV get the process going again.

If you purchased an alt account you can either transfer the PS account there. You can't really transfer stuff round via carrier anymore since Live is completely separate.

Why don't they communicate these things over their newsletter or some other way? Been trying to copy it over now that I have a Steam Deck and I find out I won't be able to copy everything now? We have to watch every video or we don't find out.

They did in the newsletters and via email to all registered players as was clearly stated in the second post in this thread!

As part of your sign up off account you were required to give an active and monitored email address...

If its not actively getting emails from Fdev at ~ every 2 weeks You may need to contact support to get the email made active again...

Just as you need an active account email address for PSN account recovery communication the same is required for game accounts needing a monitored email address...

IF using Gmail for example with default filters... the Emails can end up in the Promo section not primary filter...

Wait, I meant they communicated ahead of time that they were stopping the full transfer? From what I can see they told us like 6 days before? That's not even enough time to decommission a carrier. Apparently the new transfer won't be as complete. They should have communicated that a month in advance and not the week before.

Hi there, I am still on PS4. I don't even have a PC, can I still transfer when they re-open transfers? I know I will eventually have to buy a high end PC just for this, but don't want to lose my account forever? :(

I should imagine so, the transfer doesn't require a player to actually own a PC at all, it will just transfer the stuff and set up a FDEV account, then it's just up to the players to download the game and log in, if you don't log in right away it will just sit there until you do, although when you do log in it will just have the stuff that was transferred at the moment of the request and no new stuff you have done on consoles since that time.

Thank you Varonica for your answer to my question. I just hope they open the window for transfer once again, as I want to save all those hours I grinded and worked to play the game. To have Frontier Dev. pull the rug away from dedicated console users frankly upset me so much I have barely been able to log on to my PS4 account. I have been a player since 1984 on BBC, Acorn, Amstrad etc...

No need for a high end PC, just a steam / epic account & GeForce Now with a decent internet connection.

I used to be PS4 but made the transfer in Sept, then got on GeforceNow in October just to see it and was amazed it ran on 2015 laptop.
I bought Sheild TV and use my DS4 controller (all required keys now mapped) in lounge with just the controller and TV - Sheild is silent and is tucked out of the way.
I really couldn't stand having a PC, table, chair, keyboard, mouse and controller (with HDMI cable to TV instead of small monitor) - nah nah nah.

It's still the first quarter til the end of the month...
My only issue with this, is they said they wanted to have people moved over before the next big patch. If I'm not mistaken, that is on the 4th of April. The transfer process takes a few days also, so I hear. They really are cutting it close if that is the case
