Odyssey is on sale right now, I just need to know what's actually being copied to see if I jump on this. March 23 is when the sale ends.

It's safer to say probably after. Even then, you will not get Odyssey for free, meaning that if you don't want to overwrite your PC CMDR you will have to rebuy Odyssey on an account explicitly created for the migration.
Be aware that we know nothing about the future transfer options or how they are restricted or whether it's even possible to take a console account into 4.0 Live again with the future transfer options, because 4.0 Live and 3.8 Console/Legacy had been split from one another.

Last patch day in april is 28th - 30th if the Patch is not bumped to May delay by the usual failed QA for April release fdev uses to move patches to later dates....
If patch slips to May its going to clash with time off for 2 of the 3 UK bank holidays in May this year...

Took me about 5 minutes (at work) after logging in (to Frontier) as per the instructions, answering all the questions and pressing submit.
The process was done and the PC CMDR was sitting there waiting.
When I got home, started up ED on GeForceNow but had to sync in my Epic account ED on my laptop, which took several hours (it tells you ETA remaining), but that was just on my side updating ED Files, so went to pub and all done when I came back.

Oooops, also you must be aware, if you buy Ody now, it is for your CURRENT PC CMDR.
If and when the transfer process is again activated for your Xbox or PS CMDR (ED 3.8), you may (or may not) get a Free PC CMDR with free a ED Horizons 4.0 and you will have to buy Ody again for this account also!
Sorry, I know it's confusing, but they haven't stated anything about the next transfer process as yet.
I personally, would wait for that to complete before getting Ody.
Of course,if you have PC ED with Ody already, to get you Xbox or PS CMDR to transfer you would need to Clear Save your existing PC CMDR first. Is it worth it?
My PC CMDR is at the beginning, only has 1.2 mil credits and flies a Hauler. Totally fine starting over.
Ah, thats not so bad then. I'd read some people managed to sign up late and it then didnt go through. I'm guessing they meant an hour before it closed.
Very much hoping they do it sooner than later though, I had all but given up on my xbox account when I heard they weren't supporting it any more and didn't have a pc that would run it any more and wasn't aware of Geforce at the time. Was a real kicker after waiting on Oddysey ( which I know was a bit of a let down anyway). Recently got a new PC though and noticed I'd missed the first transfer, sod's law, fingers crossed the new one will at least copy rank and ships. Although I'm a bit worried I may have to rebuy and regain all the modules.
Same here. even though I first started on pc, I didn't do anywhere as much as on Xbox. Really hope I can keep my corvette and cutter/clipper. The grind was real. haha
Yeah I need to keep my engineering status. I will never do that again.
You don't need to do it all at once, by now you should know which engineers are useful to you & know how to open them up.
I do, problem is I do both exploration and combat. No way I'm doing engineering grind again.

That sure is concerning. I missed the previous deadline as I had to save for a gaming PC to play on. I finally had enough about 2 days after the cut-off (I think I missed a trick there) and have been playing an old pc profile from scratch on my Steam Account from the early ED days to get my hand in with the differences. I really hope that the opportunity to transfer my PS4 profile over soon as that has years of experience, ships and wonga on it! Going back to basics for a minute is fun, but I do miss my PS4 profile a lot! I just hope don't muck up something in the transfer if/when it finally opens up again
Please tell me what computer configuration you have assembled to play ED. And what are your impressions, is the gaming skills very different from the PS4? Is it difficult to learn again?
And let's say it again, you didn't need a PC to do the transfer, you can do the transfer and it will just sit there until you get a PC and log into your FDEV account. This was stated and restated multiple times both before and during the first transfer period. You do NOT need and never needed a PC to do the transfer to PC.

Hell yeah everything important is there. I'm sad about my crew as she was one rank from Elite, but this is far better than what I expected.
You will NOT Require a Gaming spec PC to do the COPY for account... you will need a PC security level web browser that supports the security...
