i actually think this isn't correct:

Clean Drive Tuning (optimal mass multiplier, reduce thermal load) - max rank 3"

the drive tuning gives you an "optimal" multiplier, while it REDUCES optimal MASS of the thrusters.

Changed it to "Reduced mass bonus", hopefully that makes sense that you get a thruster bonus if you reduce your mass.

Yeah that's all you can get. Checked what was available in a C3 slot to be sure.

Went looking for UAs to test them, but dropping into an anomaly signal source crashes to desktop every time. Bug has been reported, but it may well be deliberate to stop spoilers?

Rock Rats are overwhelmed with the now-5 levels of rarity (all the data to update!), and the changes in material spawning laws...

Bit off my own topic but in case FD is watching - I hope there is some (say 1 or 2) epic engineers with access to most/all blueprints or at reduced cost or some other bonus that are only found through either trial and error - invite gives sys + planet but no base on contacts.
Maybe when asteroid rings come in. Just have it as a super secret randomly in a system, it may take months for someone to find but it'd be such an amazing achievement if you were the one to chance across it. I'd also love a treasure hunt style reward with just a random placement on a planet somewhere.

I think they've changed this to simply allow all items at all engineers. That way it doesn't reveal all engineers in one go.

Finally made Friendly tonight with the Pirates of Gamma Phoenicis and lo and behold, no introduction to Hera Teni...

New Mission Giver for the Pirates, Lieutenant Barbara Daniels, reputation is Friendly +1 extra mission for good measure.
I expect with mayhem they have turned off all the rest of the Engineers code as they fished it all up...

One thing I did find, after 4 nights of grinding, is that the Pirates do control a ground base that you can land on, Yorkevitch Installation... Might have helped for me to sell some Cartography data there and speed things up...

Quite possibly, it seems if you found an but haven't unlocked them there's a bug where they are no longer accessible. Not sure if fixed in Beta 4.
