Your Feature Request / Idea
In order to improve gameplay, and increase immersion, provide a way to enable ACU task automation.
*ACU Queue*
By automation, I mean the ACU will react automatically to dinosaur threats by using a simple FIFO (first in first out) queue. Items that go into this queue will be automatically assigned to the ACU helicopter that has the least number of tasks assigned to them already. If there is no open slots on any ACU the item will go back to the ACU queue, and will be assigned when a slot opens on any ACU helicopter.
*Player Interaction and the ACU Queue*
I player may change the order of any items on a ACU helicopter like currently implemented with one exception. A new icon will be available on a ACU task queue. This icon is the ignore icon. If clicked, the task will not be placed back into the ACU queue for another ACU helicopter to pick up. It will act as though it never happened. The existing trash icon will remove a task from that ACU helicopter, but put it back into the ACU queue.
Items in the queue are not assigned to any ACU helicopter that is actively being controlled, or is currently selected by the player.
*Dinosaur Threat Icon prioritizable*
I player may click on a Dino Threat icon and mark it as priority. If this is done, then this will jump to the first item of any ACU Helicopter, making room for the task if needed. Any tasks that are booted from an ACU Helicopter as a result of this priority change will be placed back into the ACU queue
*Disabled ACU Stations and the ACU Queue*
ACU helicopters assigned to a disabled ACU station cannot be assigned new items from the ACU Queue. They will instead act as the do currently (which I think is: finish off the items already assigned to them before returning to base)
*why this change*
By allowing dino threats to be automated, this reduce some stress from the player allowing the game to be more accessible to casual players. This also increases immersion into the game, helping the player feel like the world they are creating is alive.
