Add Option for Blood and Gore

Yes or no, this game is about building a park, not about tearing apart whole bodies, gushing blood and eating visitors. I can agree, this is part of Jurassic Park but it can't be mainly point as gore game. The best way is to add option to turn it on/off. So when we will turn on, there could be more animations, blood etc. It is only my opinion but as I menitoned before, it shouldn't bee typical bloody game about flesh which is flying everywhere. ;)

It looks really weird to see a Raptor attack a goat and not see any blood or it eating any chunks of meat. Blood should be on it's jaws and face area/snout. We should see jagged pieces of flesh in it's mouth. There should be blood pooling on the ground from the kill. No one wants Doom 2016 levels of gore and blood. But in real life animal kills are quite gruesome. Of course I don't need to see the animals bones and guts. But the way the raptor ate that goat in the species profile just didn't look right. As some have said it looked fake. Obviously with all the details and effort put into the animal kills should look the same way. Having a raptor that realistic looking with no blood or anything involving a kill is pretty noticeable.

I agree totally, although it's a game I want it to be immersive and have elements of realism such as the reality of an animal eating another animal. However, to keep it fair they should provide an On/Off option.

An on and off option is a good idea. I wouldn't force it on anyone. People should be able to choose. Maybe it can be set to off by default. See how it looks and choose what you want.

I still think the main reason is PEGI rating. As far as I know, it does have a category "fantasy violence" by which you can avoid bumping your rating up, but no such thing as "fantasy gore"

There just has to be gore, I'm not sure how much I'll play the game if there's no blood, that is on the verge of unacceptable for a Jurassic Park game.

In the past I have been employed as a games teser, PEGI Rating was something I was allowed to do. At best, this game could only be a "12". Unless they plan to implement some really adult content. It is fairly dependent on the detail of the violence displayed in this game's case.

I can't believe censorship would stop the showing of something that happens everyday in the world with our current day animals. I have seen so many shows on TV with animals attacking and killing each other. Doom 2016 was rated M for mature in the US so that means 17+. I hope the US doesn't get punished for other countries censorship issues.

The game is literally called 'Jurassic World'. In the movie of the same title there was lots and lots of blood and death. It would be ignoring its own lore if it didn't include at least an option for blood.

Blood and gore is a must. There should be an option to toggle it on/off in the game. If it's not in the basic game there should at least be a DLC like for the Total War games. It would also be awesome if they included some death animations like that scene from TLW, where the 2 Rex's rip Eddie in half. :D

I'm inclined to believe that if blood was included, it would only be on carcasses. This is because of the ESRB rating system.

Here's the current ESRB rating descriptions. Let's assume this game is aiming to be rated T, like with JP: OG.

"TEEN"

"Content is generally suitable for ages 13 and up. May contain violence... minimal blood..."

Now, this usage of "minimal blood" isn't very specific, but I'd imagine that in order to keep the game having a T rating, blood would only in specific cases. This could just be as simple as a dinosaur carcass that was killed by a predator, but only after it's already been eaten from.

I found this Games Radar video of the game being played and they managed to get a Ceratosaurus cloned and it attacked the Struthiomimus. So the carnivores will at least attack the other Dinosaurs. But whoever was playing didn't zoom in to see the kill so I didn't see any blood or gore. I didn't see any blood on the ground either.

I've seen "minimal blood" defined somewhere as "static blood". That means that, for example there can be blood stains at the crime scene, but not someone slicing someone else's throat.
So I guess bloody carcasses could be doable, but at the current rating we won't get any "dinosaurs fighting, blood splashing everywhere" kinds of scenes, nor blood from humans chewed in half.

[Angry/Mad] It seems absurd to play a game on the dinosaurs and not to put blood ... I do not understand why in Jurassic Park Operation Genesis could be done and now not. In 2018 I pretend reality in videogames not fake things. I do not mean guts but blood.

At this point Operation Genesis was better.

JR:OG received a Teen Rating; unless the ESRB have decided that humans are snowflakes (society seems to be heading in that direction) then if Frontier put in blood, game should get the same rating. So, let's hope it won't put them off.

BestInSlot in his latest video said with regard to to dinosaur fighting "there will be blood"
Anyone knows where he might get that info? :)

If it's a censorship issue then they should make it an option if that doesn't work then it should be a DLC. I would prefer a free blood and gore DLC but I would also pay for it. Money is no issue for me, within reason of course.

So here is a video of gameplay from IGN. It shows a close up of a Ceratosaurus eating a goat. It basically swallows the goat whole and it looks kind of funny. Cause the goat just disappears. I think JPOG did the swallowing the goat whole animation better. Maybe this can be fixed. Also there was no blood and no gore. Now swallowing it whole I wouldn't expect a lot of blood and gore. But the animal would still have to be killed before eating it cause the Ceratosaur would not want the goat fighting in it's mouth and throat. So I would expect a pretty violent kill. Probably snapping the neck by swinging it around in it's mouth which means it would come in contact with its teeth and there would at least be some blood.

IMO the attack on the goat by the Cerato looked fake just like the Raptor attack on the goat.

The Cerato goes after the goat at the 29 minute mark in the video. This is when the Cerato notices the goat and you can see that it does. Which is nice.

^ It bothers me that the Ceratosaurus stamps up behind the goat and roars right up it's bum and the goat remains utterly oblivious..
