As a little change of subject. Forget about Chieftain, Beyond changes, new engineering concept. Ultimate pew pew with your insanely modified <ship here>. Let's talk about Adder.
When I started, Adder was my first upgrade from Sidewinder. Great ship, spent fair amount of hours running trade routes. But progression demanded sacrifices. Bigger, better, faster, stronger... Adder was gone. It was long time ago, right now I own Viper Mk.III, DBX, AspE, Python and Anaconda. For past few months I had a blast with Python. Usually role oriented: trading (Python and Anaconda) and exploration (DBX and Asp). But I also have a personal taxi - Viper, just for moving my bottom between places.
Viper is ok but I wanted something more... stylish. And then my nostalgia kicked in. Bought Adder once more. Transplanted Viper's organs and I have 45 LY range. Intended her to be just personal transport. You know - when you want to get somewhere to buy new ship. But nostalgia driven I kitted her for trading. 22 t of cargo space is nothing compared to 250 t (Python), not to mention Anaconda. But yesterday I spent whole evening flying my Adder.
Been taking delivery missions, data transfers. Low paying jobs that will take eternity to achieve anything. But it doesn't matter. As long as I can fly my Adder I'm happy. She looks great, flies great. She is great. It's good to be back behind her steer. It's almost weird. Achieving so much and go back to something so small.
Oh, and I started to play in open. So, when you see Sierra Hotel India Zorgon-Peterson SHI-22 "Haruna" you'll meet one happy CMDR.
