Newcomer / Intro Advice for long distance travel

I took his/her's and altered it a wee bit. With a engineered FSD set to Extended and Mass Manager, you'll get 54+ly's. You'll notice that some things are grayed out. Those are shut off. The reason being is they will all fire at the same time when utilize. Thus only have one on at a time.

Should you install a class 2 Guarding Booster you can get almost 61 ly's.

Hull repair and AFMU and unless you just intend buckyballing from start to finish and time is a factor, you dont need such a large fuel scoop, but i guess in an annie, space is not at a premium.Ight give you a bit of extra leg room, though.

You don't normally need weapons or shields because there's nothing to shoot at and nobody to shoot you. AFMU is essential (maybe two of them) plus lots of heatsinks. SRV if you want to take a break, but be careful landing on planets without shields. avoid the very high gravity ones (or take low grade shields). Without weapons and shields, you can downgrade your PP and PD to save weight and jump further.
Complete noob here. what is AFMU< PP and PD? lol

Good music and liquor are essential.

A shot of http://pierreferrandcuracao.com/en/section/view/210 on the rocks every couple of KLY's or so really helps.

What is PP? Pips?

PP is Power Plant

Pips are the controls for the Power Distributor (PD) and are used to divert more or less power to Sys, Eng and Wep and also to control the recharge rate for the Sys/Eng/Wep Capacitors
If you deactivate the Power Distributor in the Modules Screen (Right side panel), Pips are disabled too
