Advice on zoo entrance design?

Here's my zoo entrance so far (gift shop shell taken from the workshop and edited) :) I'm happy with it for once, but I don't know what to do with the blank grassy areas. I want to keep them quite open and simple, but I think they look unfinished at the moment. The lake edges need some reeds and stuff too. I'd love to hear some of your ideas on what you would do to decorate or style them! I'd also love to see some pictures of your zoo entrance areas :)

Very nice entrance! I think it just needs some minor foliage work to bring out those grass areas. Those blank grass areas need just a few bushes (creosote bushes, custard trees, dog bush or any other small bushes you like to work with), some grass (either long grass paint or scattered buffalo grass) and maybe even the odd grey rock. Colorful flowers could work but I feel that takes away from the entrance aesthetic.

Assorted reeds, faux rock piles, and other aquatic plants will bring the lake edges to life.

Would probably also but some sort of fence or barrier besides the lake. Feels like something kids would go and fall in :)
