Age worldrecord bug/cheat/...?

Hey,

I came across a player today on the world record page who has some animals with an age of 250 years and older - and I'm not talking about tortoises, but about Bengal Tigers, Tapir and Wildebeast.
I wonder how this is possible? Anyone got an explanation for this? I mean, even with life expectancy maxed out, this seems a little bit over the top..

I attached some screenshots.
Greetings,
Gonzo

There are ways to keep your animals ageing while not letting them die. Discussing them is against forum policy, but yes, it is an exploit. Probably best to be left at that. Hopefully Frontier can find a way to dial back some of these records to only be within possible limits, but at a certain point it becomes hard to tell who has been cheating just enough to skate by and who was legit.

Last tab of the zoopedia ;)
I agree, though. Competition in a game like this comes from within. You have to challenge yourself to hit certain goals and then it feels really good when you reach them. Eventually you run out of goals but er... that's when you go out and teach the community what you've learned along the way! XP Hopefully gonna have a couple new videos out Saturday btw. As long as the guys fixing my house leave in time for me to finish recording them that is lol. Happiness and Zoo Layouts is the plan rn.

If you turn off death of an animal, can it get this old?

Or are those achievements only possible in Franchise?

@Dr4gon
I don't care about that list either, but I was wondering what's going on. On the other hand I think it's kinda ty in regards of animals who are fertile until death - it makes a difference if my goldstat zebra lives normal 30 years or exploited 100 years.
What I love about this game is that it offers such a variety of things - some people love the building and decorating, some people enjoy watching the behaviour of the animals, and I enjoy the breeding aspect - finding the perfect partner over generations until you get the 100%-stat animal. That's my challenge.

@HipsterJesus42
Alright, thanks for the info!

@Luuknoord
good question, I kinda just assumed that it only counts for franchise tbh.

Sad thing is, there arent just people cheating in games playing against each other. Even in games the community should play together/reach achievments together players are exploiting and cheating.

Actually pretty sad.

It's not about "Discussing it on the forum" - it's about there being an exploit.
You say it like you know how it can be done. Is that correct?

With Steam and Denuvo supposedly protecting the game, I don't understand how anyone can force their animals to age like this - and then for Frontier to allow it (surely they'd be able to see what zoo / franchise they're from)... just disappointing.

I guess we'll have to wait for the Spiffing Brit to show us the exploits :ROFLMAO:

I once had a female panda who was pregnant for 6 years and she gave birth to a healthy child after that. There may be various kinds of bugs we do not no of yet.
