AI & NPC Difficulty....Game Changes....This is not the game I originally paid for....

Greetings Commanders.......
I have withheld my observations and comments until now to fully sample what the new game changes have to offer.
And to be completely honest .... I am VERY disappointed.
The majority of players that NEVER visit these forums are wondering what happened to the game they originally paid for.......and so am I.
I will not go into ALL the major changes to the entire bubble and every single one of my ships ... I will for now keep my observations to my combat ship ... my Fer-De-Lance
.........
When I was finally able to afford this truly awesome ship .... I got used to all its power issues and hyperspace disabilities ..... and made them my own....had it been left as it was would not have made me change my mind about using it and loving it.
In the next BIG update I saw my ship receive some much needed improvements, it no longer cooked to 80% just fuel scooping....it was finally able to turn faster than an anaconda (those anacondas turn unusually fast)....Translated into our universe its like my iPhone no longer overheats when I recharge it ..... and the battery life lasts longer than half a day.
Apparently a well rounded combat ship was an insult to someone somewhere.
From extremely poor Heat Dissipation in 1.4.... it went to Extremely Good heat dissipation with Horizons......and now it has settled down into below Average Heat Dissipation.
Once again translated into our universe.....My iPhone was BAD .... an update made it extremely good ..... so good in fact that Samsung users started sulking .... and to make them happy they settled for making my iPhone just Average all round.
Now about those AI changes.
I use the word AI VERY LOOSELY.
Those NPCs have only EVER been Infinite Ammo AimBot programs that occasionally run some set routines until a player engages them. Then they run a new set of routines in an effort to NOT slam into rocks but DEFINATELY slam into players. Lets not mention how fond they used to be of rotisserie manoeuvres (kebabs).
I have probably spent around 20 million credits in insurance learning how and why the new so called AI have changed the rules in the game.
Are they more manoeuvrable ? Perhaps .... or maybe they just utilize the thrusters better. I can safely say they have never killed me from pure skill or lack of .... but simply because they are not AIs. They are just cheating Aimbots with infinite ammo that like ramming you. In fact all the times my ship was destroyed was because of ramming. I appreciate the way they chaff like crazy ..... and dogfight in circles ... and force me to reverse thrust and boost to engage them. But in the end they will never qualify as a REAL AI and do not deserve to kill a REAL player. How easily they AIMBOT and constantly keep their guns facing you and more often than not ignore our attempts to chaff. How easily they have access to all the latest engineer upgrades. Their shots making me overheat and other rounds penetrating my shields and hitting my armor. Only players should have access to these upgrades .... and trust me I am trying hard to do just that....and sadly it will take me months.
...
All the recent POLLS about the AI changes and how hard they are ????
Oh they are HARD ... but NOT a GOOD type of Dangerously Hard with a proper AI.
What happens when you fill a Server with extremely difficult cheating AIMBOTS? You get Player Backlash and Disappointment. I signed up for ALL ROUND improvements in the game and in all the ships. Not for Nerfs and cheating NPCs. I do love this game DEARLY. But its no longer the game I purchased a year ago.
On another note .... I do love the station menu changes and all the little improvements.
I will keep watching this game and hoping all the ships and all the missions receive improvements and extra tweaks.
Please no more NERFS and definitely do not make the NPCs more Deadly the WRONG way. Maybe actually give them an AI ? They should dogfight ... they should run scared ... they should trade ... they should make mistakes ... they should miss the enemy 60% of the time with railguns just like real players do for example.

Am I asking for too much ?

The modded weapons add more depth imho, but at the same time they also beef up the NPCs, personally I like it but such things are down to personal taste I think :p

On the ramming , wait till a gunship rams you, they tend to insta-pop ppl :p I find that quite hilarious tbh.

I think everyone is being unfair to the op here he said a MAJORITY of players not on the forum agree with him! Who are we to question all those people I mean there's no way anyone would say that without doing a survey first right?....right?.......anyone?

Have some rep.

It sounds like a lot of what you say refers to the pre 2.1.03 build. Your insurance should have been repaid if that's the case.

And an iPhone that lasts longer than half a day on a single charge? Sounds like an engineer mod to me.

I paid for this game called Elite : Dangerous and not Elite : Harmless, and I'm satisfied with the NPC AI. FD promises more NPC unpredictability and I'm looking forward to it!

Also to be fair advertisement for ED hasn't been "casually fun and easy to play". It always have been "it is hunt or be hunted galaxy, with murderers, outright sociopaths and harsh stars out there".

Don't even try to answer this thread CMDRs, just go on.

Alright, I've warned you...

:D I giggled like a schoolgirl...

We're all individuals! Well, I'm not, but, er....

Yup, thoughts so DEEP that they never surface - SUNK without trace.:)

Deep thoughts. .

The only stupid question is the one that is never asked, except maybe "Don't you think it is about time you audited my return?" or "Isn't is morally wrong to give me a warning when, in fact, I was speeding?"
