Aisling's Angels - Support Disney Princess Space Khaleesi in Her Bid to Make Anime Real

And most of us dont have enough time to play on midweek. i'm lucky if i have 2h to play. but i think we did well. only 1 tier lower....

Well ... I do not think we will be able to win this one, but we were able to get a lot further than I thought. This was an unfair mission, we were in absurd disadvantage from the start and even taking strong prejudice we have achieved an impressive mark. I am proud of it. I am proud of all of you. It now remains to see how this will end. I hope all our efforts will be of some value, and that new fairer missions arise in the near future. We are the Aisling Angel's, we can lose a battle, but the war is not over yet.

I'm just fighting out my first place vs Kryfield :D

Good to see 3 of the top 5 contributors were all open players. I've been a lot of fun even getting raided by pirates a couple of times a day :D

A bit of quick napkin math here too, just for funsies :)

If we assumed the average weight of a person is 62kg (based on the global average, thanks Google!), that would be about 16 people to a metric ton.

At 1.1 million tons delivered, that is 17.6 million slaves freed by Aisling's supporters during this wager.

That's a lot of potential additional supporters if the majority of those volunteered to back her movement.

Looking by this side, we actually did an amazing good job!

Hehe nice!

When you consider the math, it makes you wonder where they are all being housed, since I bet 17.6 million people don't fit on Mackenzie Relay :)

My guess is Aisling probably set up a number of communes down on Emerald (is that where her palace is, as mentioned in the system info?)

Hah, maybe we should demand that Frontier actually change the system's population value to account for all the newly freed slaves we delivered.

I think a more pressing issue is how to put 16 people inside a cannister so small... It should be a little ... uncomfortable ... to say the least

When you consider the basic Sidewinders Life Support system is 1.3 tons
I am going to guess 1 Canister contains one Person in some form of suspended animation along with life support massing 1 ton total rather than trying to cram in 16 people into a canister that is likely not many cubic meters in internal capacity

These are people not stackable commodites that come in standardised sizes and shapes

My theory is that the canister is a huge cryogenic module. and there's some people stacked there. 3-10 maybe. Yes. slave is a commodity and yes this is wrong. That's why we're helping our lady.

It'll probably change whenever we get passenger carrying capability, because Imperial slaves are supposed to be transported in a decent humane manner

Speaking of math, what keeps bugging me is how a ton of grain occupies the same volume as a ton of gold (I'm not even speaking of tons of slaves now as I assume it's just a placeholder until we get a passenger mechanics). I remember Chris Roberts speaking of how in his game there would be separate concepts of mass and volume. Would be hillariuos if that arcade space shooter ends up having better physics than all-so-realistic-simulator Elite Dangerous.
