Nah, I'd say this is just a storyline to reveal that she is just a front for the interests of a background party pulling the strings for her.

The last time she had an actual political speech was...never. All her speeches are a combination of cussing and a teenage girl overreacting. She is definitely not a leader and doesn't have the ability to hold a senate together on her own.

Her finding evidence the Chancellor's adviser's connections to the Emperors Dawn doesn't mean anything for her standing, just sullies his.

HH Arissa might move to distance herself from Blaine since she has the backing of both Torval and Patreus now.

The Cynical might say it is best for her Blaine and Aisling accusing each other.

That HIH Aisling has powerful unnamed backers is already been in GalNet

Unless it was the Lavigny's all alone and the Chancellor is actually the silent workhorse he is presented to be.

It depends. I consider a pawn the individual who has no say on the direction and goals the resources are headed towards. And vice versa likewise. Not who has the resources and who doesn't.

Rumors say, 2/3 pledge because shes a cutie. At least that is what my steam friendlist statiscts showed about reaosns to join her. At least some very personal kind of backers that will stay until she looks like Zemina.

Because Frontier did all that nice artwork and powerplay character background to kill her off early...

I can see a rift in the Empire so that Empire1 and Empire2 each have 2 powerplay leaders, Federation has 2 and Alliance has 1, independants have 3
Makes sense to me, I did call this somewhere a long time ago on these forums..

More likely 2/3 pledge because stronger shield generator. It's a no-brainer upgrade for lots of ship builds, almost anything except exploration loadouts and power-starved ships.
