Thanks

Absolutely stunning, can't wait to see the final film - added to Trending and will probably give this a permanent home in the OP eventually!

Also Trending - Cmdr Kathryn Kando's thrilling encounter following a Neutron interdiction.

Also Trending - the end is nigh! (perhaps)

Thank you so much for the reply --- I did scan with SRV's scanner --- not sure what or where the datalink scanner is located
Just showed some lines going to the button
did that for about 30 sec did nothing else ...

UPdate-- Thanks again -- I found that ( I had no response from scanner after 10 or so scans ) but later 2 days later I discovered there was a transaction that will give me a bunch of credits when turned in at a port ... but again only for 1 scan ...

There should be some sort of a action or reply when you are doing the scan --- don't ya think - or is that part of the FUN plan ???

Pretty sure there's an audio cue at the very least (the scan sound slowly builds, a scan graphic in the centre of the HUD slowly fills up and when it's complete there's a kind of electronic kerchunk noise and your inbox in the comms panel at the top lights up to show you've got a new message. That's the typical sequence as I remember it anyway.

Trending: Another planetary circumnavigation has been completed, "Speed Bowl" championship for dangerous high-G sports enthusiasts and an official design your own holo-screen advert competition (hmm, would it be wrong to do one for this thread?) :p

Edit: added Mat Recardo's latest (and greatest) "ship scale" video to the "screenshots and videos and songs" section and added the latest video from Obsidian Ant's excellent "Alien story so far" series to the "mysterious things and lore" section.

Trending: Bomba Luigi completes his circumnavigation of planet Wilson (and then goes out in a blaze of glory) plus ... it's that time of year when some people will be thinking ahead to Lavecon 2018!

Done a bit of routine maintenance on post #2 today.

Re-worded/improved the link for Sagittarius Eye (in "regular newsletters").
Added a link to the Xbox screenshots thread (in "screenshots and videos").
Re-worded the description for Mat Recardo's ship scale videos (in "screenshots and videos").
Added the "G19 companion app" (in "accessories, add-ons and tools").
Tidied up the odd typo.

Minor detail - E.D.I.S.O.N. has been updated to use the new journal info, instead of OCR. It’s now completely accurate, and works great (at least it does for me!).

Oh cool - thanks for letting me know! Do you know if there's a new forum page for this utility at all? I see the original page is locked (although I'm still linking to it since it contains useful links and videos in the OP). I eventually found a changelog where I spotted the change in version 3.2 to use the journal.

And on a general note - if anyone regularly uses any of the tools or websites I've listed here and knows of major changes (or perhaps they're no longer supported or have been rendered obsolete by ED updates) then please do let me know as I confess I'm not checking the accuracy of all the information I've collected here on a regular basis.

Wow, I'd totally missed this tool, despite following all Alec's updates in this thread. Thanks for highlighting it, I really suck at finding ground sites that aren't listed on the nav panel.

Sometimes I still can't spot them when I'm within 1 degree lat/long! The recent Medivac Buckyball race springs to mind, it took me five minutes to find an Anaconda crash site after I'd arrived at roughly the correct place!
