Are new search parties out looking for new sites? I guess everyone was right there are lots of sites and we only found 5

Indeed - I wouldn't read too much into it.

Michael

 oh my Thargoid, he is watching us !

Michael, Can we have a confirmation from your point please, to let us know if we can indeed finish the puzzle, even with those "bug" present?
And if (please) we might missing something that can help us finding site without brute forcing? Cause so far.. god nobody found anything ://

Sits back and waits for the exploiters to find them :)

Edit : Oh sorry I meant Explorers (Honest I did guv )

as far as I remeber, our moon isn´t that precisely synchronous either, we can see from earth around 55% percent of the moons surface as the moon has a slight axial tilt too ???

Yeah, plus the moons orbit isn't perfectly circular either meaning it can't be perfectly synchronous.

I think it's pretty clear now that it is indeed solvable and working -or if that isn't clear, then what is becoming clear is that we haven't yet found enough of the sites to have been making that suggestion in the first place.

On that note, it also seems the fuss we made initially about duplicate sites was very unwarranted, I hadn't even considered that the ruins were a procedural object, seems what we got instead of several unique sites was something much cooler than we had anticipated; an entire abandoned alien bubble on our doorstep.

So, my work today.

I am working on the totally unjustified opinion that the sites chain together so, locating one, if you know the key, will show you the way to the next.

To get from A to B in space we need three things, a bearing, an inclination and a distance.

So I have been recording physical attributes of the ruins that could hold this information.

The measurements are:

The Alpha bearing and its inverse, taken from the A group and the line that runs through the top and bottom codices.
The Gamma group bearings. top group and bottom group
the H group bearing, given that this is, in my humble opinion clearly pointing in a specific direction
then the C1 and C2 bearings, taken from the isolated C codices in the middle of the groups.

Knowing that the indicated direction could refer to any of the triangles points I only need one to work out what the other two bearings are. I think.

so far, just pages and pages of numbers to work with but if this gets anyone thinking.....

anyway, I am on my way to one of the new locations, TP-F

Commanders, to your ships!

>< I know but
but this is Bruteforce and , like Melville said,he found a "key" , but so far god damn we haven't find .. :///

I found the key !

Maybe we need all 3 layouts to figure it out. I'd say brute forcing these 3 is fine but beyond that it's pointless.

This is why, I asked Mr brookes about it, cause I dont know it's sounds weird to Bruteforce something like this, I'm sure and I'm not the only one, that this is not meant to be brute forced.

Please answer Michael :') for the love of the Guardian..

Melville is somewhat a personification of all of our most rational speculations so far - there is a pattern and there is a key. Despair not, as I said a few hours ago, we'll find the key as well.
