I want to have these daft restrictions removed, that don't make much sense and impact my enjoyment of the game. Fair enough in campaign mode but this is just a needless restriction that reduces my enjoyment of the game. I prefer the look of the JP era but I certainly don't want to be restricted in such a way. They don't have it for Jurassic World mode and it is not even just for dinosaurs that weren't discovered during when the film was made. Dinosaurs like Camarasaurus and Allosaurus were discovered in the 1870s and Igaunodon was the second dinosaur to be described, yet not even those are available in that mode. I paid for all of those so a certainly don't want to be needlessly restricted like this.
If I wanted to I would just play the campaign again and challenge mode offers something different from both campaign as well as sandbox. With challenge giving a decent sense of progression which isn't there in the sandbox mode. Even if you are to enable contracts/money, you still don't actually unlock anything that don't already have in sandbox mode.. A game like this should allow a certain amount of freedom for the player without being restricted to the same dinosaurs as in the campaign. Having less dinosaurs doesn't make it more challenging because many of the higher stat dinosaurs are still included, neither does it add to the experience, it is just incredibly limiting on the options. It is just a bad decision that actively and intentionally makes the game worse as a result.
