Steam Workshop: Planet Zoo. If the 1.11 update removes the farmland map, heres backups for sandbox and challenge. Hoping the rumors are wrong but best to be safe

Goodwin Zoo/Scholey Manor still use a variation of the farmland skirt.
Funnily enough the name of the original project in ZT2 was Karhujärvi - same as your Bear Lake Park. Although I think I’ll go with something new.
I've just checked it and isn't it the same old generic grassland map? At least all those trees are acacias, so absolutely no European or Iberian map.
On the contrary, I think it's Africa that received a new map, almost without trees... So double map for them.

They could've at least changed the Trees. 
Do we have any Trees in the Base Game that fit into that Biome Combination?
Yes but the most of the those trees are from the Europe pack
For Europe grasslands? Well using Wikipedia since I'm not digging up academic material for this. Got the eastern European steppe for reference
- Common oak (oak tree in game)
- Small leaved lime tree ( not in game)
- Norway maple (not in game although we have a slightly similar maple tree)
- Common hazel (not in game)
Doesn't look too bad but still noticeable that it doesn't really fit where I want to build. I guess I could have mostly long Grass and maybe short Grass in Enclosures could be blocked with Bushes or Rocks. With all the new Plants from the more recent Packs I could make all that long Grass more realistic by adding different Wild Flowers and maybe a Bee Education Board in one Area
That feels maybe Siberian kind of textures. Should of been a similar shade to Europe. That brown shades in the grass reminds me of snow melt season
I wonder if they might be able to change the current System in such a Way that Russia (if it even has temperate Areas in the Game) has this Grass while Japan, Korea and (southern?) China has the normal temperate Grass (don't know enough about Chinese Climate to tell which Grass should be used there). But I assume this probably wouldn't be possible, so customizing the used Terrain would probably be a better Option
It actually feels like the taiga short grass added into this map, I hate the Taiga short grass at all costs personally . I don't actually think we got a new terrain paint , just poor implementation of an Asian map realising temperate Asia is a massive difference north to south
Now that you mention it I'm really not sure if there is any Difference between this and the Taiga Grass. But as I said, I'll probably stick to the Wildflower Meadow Plan and I've just remembered for smaller Lawn Areas, isn't there some Grass Floor/Roof Piece in the Conservation Pack?

Great. Then it's definitely clear. Long Grass with Wild Flowers surrounding the Zoo where it isn't connected to the City (which will be a Pain in the *** to build) and if I want short Lawn somewhere I'll just use those. Maybe I could even use the Grass Panels for a nice Park in the City with Cherry Blossom Trees
