The founder of the American retail giant Amazon online, Jeff Bezos, announced Sunday evening of 1 December that his company planned to use in a few years, octocoptères mini-drone to deliver small packages for its clients in a half hour.
"Amazon Prime Air" could be operational in four to five years.

I assume they'd be fitted with a minigun of some sort, they're just kind of rubbish otherwise.

I fly something similar to these - 5 years from now.... Unless there is a major development in the design of batteries i doubt it will happen.

They use Lithium Polymer batteries and even the most powerful will just about last 15-20 mins before the machine will fall out of the sky. And thats before it even has a payload.

Hope i am proved wrong, as i would like nothing more than to get flights in longer than 15 mins!
