The OP's character is hopelessly derivative and crushingly lame in every respect. His behaviour here has been like a comedian going on stage at at open mic, bombing, and then refusing to leave the stage, insisting that it's the audience's fault that they're not laughing. He got booed off. It was utterly inevitable.
It's nothing like Harry Potter. He is infamous in the ED universe for his actions there (which is what the OP wishes he was in his wildest dreams), not derided for making silly threads here. In fact, I have seen him post here under the name Besieger. He gets no abuse at all, because love him or hate him, he's not claiming to be something he's not. Go figure.
His responses are predictable because he always replies in character.
Special service announcement:
Ladies and gentlemen we are at page 29.
I am pleased to inform you that the troll has been fed.

After reading all this, I've decided to take my battle python, and fly to Eravate and pop a bunch of newbies
Maybe then I'll become famous like the OP
"Fat chance" most of the voices in my head say though [wacky]
Bill
<<off to Eravate with his python anyway... interdict a newbie and drop him 3 tons of platinium... then laugh as said pilot cant scoop worth a damn![]()
I think this guy need to have a turn in the total perspective vortex. Alongside with some other morons whom so sure of their self importance, and think very little of the others.Nope ... over 400 posts in this thread and Still no idea who the OP is.
Not Joking, never ever heard of him .. "One of Elite Dangerous' most hated" ... By that rational anybody playing the game must also be "One of Elite Dangerous' most hated"
Not really. He kept going on about how much his Reddit posts and YouTube videos are voted down as proof of how hated he is. Pretty sure Reddit didn't make it to 3303. The character mask started to slip around page 5. Arrogant people invent arrogant characters I guess.
OP is making a mistake dragging today's media into his character. The biggest blunder is, of course, bragging about the article rather than 'let it be discovered' and stay out of it. This whole thing would have probably blown over with a giggle.
I'm not sure if we have the whole picture of what prompted the author of the article to revoke it. OP is talking about backlash against the author in the locked down thread. Or is it really just the reactions in this thread? Maybe John could clarify? Undoubtedly all criticism directed towards the author, if any, would have been levelheaded and rational given the relative unimportance of the OP, right? Or could it be that there are some righteous real-world bullies on this forum?
Hi John! The updated article says all it needs to. I appreciate the comments, emails, and Tweets. I wish it was under better circumstances, but I do appreciate you taking the time to read and debate my article.
All the best,
John
@johnsantina
Elite Dangerous is a very laid back community, probably due to the high[er] average age of the current player base. Now, if the OP were doing the same anti-social stuff in, say, Overwatch or BF4, well there's this horrible thing I've heard about called "doxing/swating" that those communities are really into at times.
And inspiration!I'm still not convinced John Santina and Zarek Null aren't one and the same. He was hurt by the mockery so pulled the article. Still, if they aren't... John, your deletion makes little sense given what actually happened, there's no hate here, only bemusement.

There's thirty pages now, and I haven't seen "them" post in quite some time, perhaps (s)he has been sated?Too bad that kind of hunger can not be stopped by attention. It's like a bad drug: you can take as much as you can, but you never get what you are longing for.
What gets me is how the people doing the swatting don't end up in jail. They are effectively taking society's shield and using it as a weapon.
For example if someone was killed during a raid I would argue it would be murder on the part of the swatter. They used the police as the weapon to commit it. Same goes for any Bumps and bruises the victim suffered would be considered assault.
I think that's a bit light a sentence, they should also have their crime (yes, crime) tattoo'd on their forehead for all to see, so that they get the appropriate treatment from their fellow inmates.Yes, "swatters" should get a serious prison sentence. 10 years minimum. No joke. It's serious to send men with guns to another's house.
