An investigation into Frontier's actions on Combat Logging

Fun. Hes interested in Fun! Fun can be just flying around and driving on planets you know? Different people, different taste.

Exactly - like the 98% of people enjoying the game and not having a small collective apoplexy over something they don't like. It's like dejavu over and over here sometimes... People need to learn to moderate themselves rather than latching onto 'causes' and then throwing their weight around when they don't get what they want. Welcome to life, sometimes it doesn't play out the way you want. Move on, shake hands, have a beer and chill.

How about players who are in the game since alpha but are just annoyed by other people interdicting and shooting them up just for fun? Thats makes a game pretty frustrating and THIS is the number one reason why people join the PvE group.

The PvP griefers make people leave open play and join PvE. Fact.

Not sure I've seen much acknowledgement from the PvP fraternity that some amongst them are actually part of the problem, that the attitude and mentality of some of their number is among the causes of people choosing to combat log in the first place. Cause and effect, people - if looking for the motivations behind combat logging, the PvPers need only look amongst their own for at least part of the cause. And, of course, even some of their own combat log themselves......
.
I'm sure there's some PvPers that recognise this, but it doesn't seem to get acknowledged much in these sorts of discussions.

Problem is right at the moment combat itself seems a little broken.. Gotta love jumping into a 'Low Intensity' conflict zone fully A kitted ship and the NPC's manage to pop your shields even with boosters in like 4 shots with 'Impulse attacks' and the like (eg Engineered weapons) that make even one of the PVE combat areas that frustrating these days.

Lot of the 'changes' coming up really hopefully address some of the balance and maybe make things fairer for both PVE and PVP but until then can you blame people who've spent especially recently weeks grinding to get even a few million not wanting to loose it all because things seem to be so unbalanced?

combat logging is not something I condone but I can perfectly understand why some are doing it.

Mind you - if certain people got their way - I might not be able to play for a while - my GOG client has suffered a slight mishap and now apparently has to redownload my entire library.

I'm sure that must be a fun experience for anyone instanced with me.

The PvP griefers always tell something about piracy being a part of the game. Yes thats true, but its not piracy when you interdict and destroy without even asking for cargo!

If thats the case, then he dont need either engineers or big ships. Starting sidewinder will do - yet he complains. So I dont think its so simple.

Problem is some PvP gamer is gonna show up, interdict him and destroy his ship just to ruin his game. Thats the nature of PvP griefers!

Its not the excuse of "playing by the rules" its just the only sort of fun some people have is when they ruin the game for everyone else and if the rest of the community doesnt want to play by their "rules" then the big whining about combat logging starts.

The problem is if you do not destroy him in seconds then he combat log.

Caedite eos! Novit enim Dominus qui sunt eius

Playing a psycho is also legit way of playing. Everyone have a right to carry a darkness in heart.
If you do not want to fight, then do not fight. Make High wake or go to group/solo.

Do not call someone else gameplay bad because you do not like it. Its mean only you do not like it, not mean his gameplay is wrong. Be more tolerant.

I think FD is taking the right road by not replying to the moans of a few out of the thousands who just play the game and don't care about combat logging

Its people like you that cause the problem. Ever thought about that some people dont want to engage combat while they are busy with their part of the game?

You can carry all the darkness of the worlds in your heart if you like. Don´t expect anyone to share your fetish.

To the contrary, I think they are listening and the ideas of a few can lead to the improvement in the game for many but there is a way to approach it and using threats and social media to get your way is not it. That's childish and aggressive and when you don't get a response to that kind of behavior you shouldn't be surprised.

I do not expect, but it not means i am worse than You. It means i am different. Deal with it and move on.
If you do not like PvP then do not PvP. Simple.

What a backwater, i though a people there are more progressive.
