Name's blergmonkeys and I've requested to join the Damorgs group.

Any chance I could fly with you all?

I'm new to the game but getting the ropes. Reckon it'd be a bit more fun to have others around to fly with though (and also to possibly help me catch up on the dynamics of this beautiful game).

Heya blergs, welcome aboard!

I've been flying under the banner of Angeli Imperial for a month or two (a couple weeks after I started playing) and can confidently say it's increased my fun-per-hour (FPH) ratio at least ten-fold.

All the current info on what our lords keep us busy with is in the first three posts to this thread, especially the third one.

I think you can sign up somewhere there for an account. It's most of the group forum chatter happens now, less chicken-wing discussion though but perhaps I need to catch up on a thread or two.

I suppose DaMorgs or another of our glorious leaders has to tick a box or something on the private group (not sure how that system works). Then what I did was just go down the list of group members slowly adding them to my friends list (come on and introduce some kind of group interface in the main game soon please Frontier!)

G'day blokes, my new place has unreliable ADSL. I've been a bit too worried about dropping out to even try playing Elite for some time. This Power Play update has got me intrigued though. When it due for release?

I didn't even really try out Wings due to moving and stuff :'( Actually, I think the last time I logged in was just after the wings update. I wanted to try to get a screenshot of my ship with a smashed canopy so I was allowing myself to take a bit of damage. But I got a bit drunk and mistakenly wandered into a SSS with only 10% hull looking for toxic waste . Didn't end happily and encouraged me to focus on the house move, and lay off the drunken space flights for a while...

Thanks Mr Crighton, I poured my life savings into her (with a little left aside for insurance of course).

Mission failure I'm afraid. I visited the spot, beautiful but nothing of interest there (as expected). After buying the book and reading a bit more it appears I had the wrong idea about the "Galactic Arm" as opposed to the entire galaxy itself.

I'll get around to writing it all up with a bit of narrative sometime soon(ish).

I'm going to check out the Statue of Liberty Nebula and then head home I think. Will do the core some other time. It's the ship you see... she speaks to me... but it's not her... it's... something else.

I've run out of space-madness pills basically is what I'm saying.

Another fun night working the community goal - met some good players & even got jumped & killed by another... must pay more attention to the radar I guess because I never saw him coming - just me going LOL.

Always fun winging up with strangers, having fun & shaking hands as we leave.

Yeah. Was nice to get a taste of the explorer's life. I think I could adjust to the occasional week-long sojourn out in the galactic unknown.

Time for home now though, no sleep till Wangal. I want to be around when Powerplay lands at the latest.
(I've just got to find the time to log-on more to do the flying-home bit)

Hehe, I was all over the place then, picked up a cheap Sidey Taxi, fitted it out with a bigger frame shift drive and an A class scoop to travel 300 ly to collect my Vulture and bring it back to base.

On the topic of Battlecruiser in Shong Warzone: Much kudos to CMDR Taragocia this afternoon! He saved me from certain destruction by an enemy Vulture whilst I was out of shield cells and finishing of an Anaconda. I managed to get out with 4% hull :-o
