As you have already seen, we've been fairly busy. For those interested, the CG in Quivira is in our interests, as it involves Senator Patreus. However, it's currently broken so don't go charging over just yet.
On a side note, given the number of players and my PC trying it's hardest to not work under the load, I'll probably be forced to play in private group when it's fixed. I was reduced to 18fps when I was in the area of Godel Dock.
Those wishing to join me, please do so.

I am an Aussie aligned with Empire, *and* I enjoy light roleplaying and calling non-Imperial pilots peasants (all in good fun) but this group might be a little too hardcore and serious for me, and I can go for days or even weeks without joining the game.
However, I must express the need for reinforcements in Quivira! The independents are holding us back very well, and if we don't take the system within a few days then none of us will get a bonus. Please join us! For the Emperor!

How's the group going, do you do bounty hunting shenanigans, escort, "police" work, community goals etc? Or just stuff trying to flip the system/s.
(by police work I mean like interdict random people and/or npcs and check for bounties).
If you don't that's fine too I was just curious.
Looking to pick the game up in a couple of weeks and an Open-play aus/nz group would be nice, though IDK how I feel about empire but you do what you have to

I wouldn't classify this group as necessarily hardcore.
I'm proud to be a member, but i'm hardly part of the "core" group as i'm currently floating around 9K LY out
and certainly not on every night.There's room for every type of player here, just a nice friendly imperial oriented group.
Not going to try and sway your opinion either way, but it's a nice bunch to talk to, even as a casual player.

You are more than welcome to join us. Although things are slowly ramping up towards being more capable when 1.3 arrives we are by and large still a very casual group.
The fact we now have 50 odd members is really due to a loose set of common goals and a play when you want/how you want atmosphere. The bonus with a much larger group now is usually it means there are a few online so people can team up if needed.
The vast majority of players are currently over 30 and with families so hardcore is pretty much the polar opposite.
Some of the guys are more into roleplay than others, but we certainly aren't any form of hardcore PvP group and in the current version of the game aren't out looking for trouble either.
More specifically for OJ191 we are currently non hostile to everybody, so if you are looking for more aggressive Player interaction then we currently aren't the right group. While collecting a bounty of someone passing through our systems is fine we don't go hunting for bounties or carry out piracy.

The password when you sign up is not the actual one you need to log in with, it is the one in your activation email, after that you can change it from your profile to your chosen one, trying to fix it.

LOL I'm that nerdy that I made that animation on a windows amiga emulator, running a copy of a rom I dumped from my amiga 2000, which I had upgraded to kick 2 and a fat agnus.
Anyway, Angeli - I have returned to Quivira this evening and with neither support nor opposition from anything harder than System Defence ships, I have made the trip back to Stapletons Dock four times to reload the multicannons, have the slaves top up the wiper fluid and patch up minor damage. I only managed a mere 500k in vouchers, and it definately looks like we are on the back foot - but be strong!
Ping TBH it would be fine to work that way if it was specified beforehand.
I input my password during registration then received my account activation email... and nothing worked because you don't receive the password until your account is actually manually (I think? either that or it just takes a long time) approved. The issue here being that it is stated nowhere that I saw, that your account has to be approved only that you have to click the link in the activation email.

Thank you, this is the solution. The second email didn't come through until later on, and it had my username and password.
I would highly recommend changing the registration process to be more informative.
