My last post on this thread, imo why this is bad news:-
a: The game was designed initially with consoles in mind, thus hamstringing the PC version from the off
b: The game (as good as it is) is going to get simpler and simpler as the weeks go by, until its at the level your typical Xbox user can play
c: 20+ years of faith and hope were wasted.. not to mention all the money that went on the kickstarter.
d: Frontier care little for true Elite fans
e: Frontier will bow down to any moaning and whining on the forums and alter the game (this has already happened but will be 10x worse when the Xboxers get here)
*shakes head in disappointment*
So the possibility of two different versions of the game hasn't occurred to you? Case in point; Team Fortress 2. Exact same games comes out on PC and consoles, not cross platform play (bear in mind, ED has NOT been confirmed as being cross-platform play yet), but its the PC version that gets all the cool updates and mods. Isn't it possible this might happen for Elite Dangerous as well?
Also your statement smacks of childish self entitlement, and PC gamer elitism (no pun intended). The more posts I read like this, the more they make me hope for for a separate Xbox server because honestly? I wouldn't want to play this game with people like you.
I'm getting tired of saying this, so it'll be for the last time. I get it - most "PC gamers" think all console gamers are mouthy teens who play like jerks. Guess what? PC gamers have this problem too! And console gamers also have decent people too. And this game most likely won't attract, or even register with the type of gamer everyone seems to be so afraid of.
So - relax. These people know what they're doing. I think your going to be quite safe in your little PC gaming ivory tower.
