Discussed yesterday, unsure, but I think it's faked. I could always be wrong and I'm always prepared to be ;)

I'm not convinced it's over yet. Ed's only tweeted one possible winner so far, the Reddit guy, and he supposedly told one friend.

We've not seen any more anywhere decently looking believable claims have we?

It wouldn't make sense for the screenshot to be fake unless the guy loves messing with people enough to mock up a convincing picture, but not enough to use the picture to claim that the competition's over. It doesn't affect the state of things at all unless it's meant to genuinely inform people of the running total of claimed cards.

FD referred to that reddit post on their twitter page and said "could it be legit?, investigations to follow".

The only small thing I thought about it was that the icon for it seemed a little basic, I would of expected something more fitting, but it's just a small thing.

The posts came across as being believable.

In my opinion all options are in place to people earn a card:

A) lottery: someone going without think to whatever random place and finding it. Probably they just made sure to put the object in some place that people rarely visit, or never visited at all, so the promo could take some time.

B) treasure hunt: a tip was given and will lead to other and so on... my theory about that, I know that at least at this thread nobody tried, so im going to keep to myself for now, but my guess is that the way to figure out that is in-game and probably there is no anagram or code or something like that involved. Just something simple needs to be made... something that is actually part of the core of the game, but that in general take some time to achieve ;)

C) piracy: someone manages to steal the cargo of the guy who found the thing.

Can't think in other, but I really believe that all these options are there for people explore. It could be just A and C and just B and C, but I think that all are available.

i'm affraid it's real. if the name of the item wasn't that one (photoshop for example) the ED team had laugh immediately....

My theory came to a dead end, Reyndhart translates to practice hard making me think you practice in the training mode, so checked the training missions and only one shows a location which is the FSD training, the only station mentioned is named Laue colony so Laue translates to warm as in getting warmer, checked a few laue stations in game but no joy, also checked the systems surrounding the galaxy map co-ords of the training missions but still no joy.
Looking forward to seeing if i was anywhere near the correct trail lol.

It states in open the item is a rare item, it will be in a place far far away, no traffic, in solo does the item appear? or only in open? so at station logoff login in open to see, I do not know how they could place this item to show only in open, also the description is correct "Nvidia Titan Black Tech prototype" it is a cannister and also if npc have access to it, it could be found bounty hunting in res sites, I did a bounty hunt on a npc 4 days ago they carried a rare which was 200ly from where I erased them... it is possible that the item is not in the game yet.... since the last update, then the hunt was on, it would take a update to place said item in the server....... Propose this the busy areas of the galaxy no one has found it, I Have been out to the far reaches where stations exist on the fringe before nothing.... and still no sign of it.... if the clue is in Reynhardt Intellisys well I have run all software to find all possible meanings, some one said with the civil war impending in leesti, it might be another 2 weeks before a takover and the 2 rares sold at george lucas changes ie loose one and gain the black titan..... all stations in the rares list do not hold this item... so which Mystery Station is it at? a Mystery station.... we know of all new outposts and also the new cg for data, it was stated to onepercent to go and do some exploring...... so it is a station prob not known yet..... and possibly a rare item that is in line with painite buy wise and sell wise, all depends on travel.....and distance..... if a mystery station it is not explored yet and prob need a permit to access the system... come on, this is a bun fight alright and it isn't going to be in systems we already know..... but I will bow cdown to greater minds...... keep up the good work and someone please somewhere win this bloody thing lol.....

I'm not sure the item's unlimited supply necessarily means that the station'll be hard to reach, because presumably as soon as <=5 people have found it they'll remove the item from the game. It's probably meant to be a fleeting extra in-game incentive to find it.
