I think its really cruel of FD to let this thread and the speculation keep going if they have been found already. They really need to make an update on the status of this so people aren't wasting their time.

The whole puzzle's far too fractal. I still think there must be some logic to it, but it's impossible to find solid threads because the GPU architecture has the same name as some space guy who made a telescope that was also named after him, then a future space telescope was named after THAT telescope, and he has a bunch of stations named after him, and he had a supernova named after him and he himself was probably named after another telescope. So that's one name.

We also have Godel, Titan, Reynhardt and all their friends, all of whom have doubtless created thousands of new and revolutionary telescopes which they all used to observe each other, and they all have 20 stations named after them, and if you connect them up on a star map you get a picture of Freddy Mercury drying a soggy ferret in a toaster, which is clearly a pointer to either the planet Mercury, the astronomer who named Mercury, Chef Mercury's world-famous recipe for Spinach & Ketchup Surprise or the telescope named after his culinary lunacy, which famously observed David Braben's wallet exploding in 2014.

I think as soon as just one person finds it, the game is over coz that person would tell his/her friend/s and with only 5 on offer they'll be gone in seconds. Still - if no one has found them yet, it's still open season but as I say I think the 1st one to find them will close the door on the rest of us (unless it's me coz i have no friends).

Did anyone go to systems/stations with references to nVidias next-gen cards of the future? Being E

in the future and all.

Those references are "Pascal, Volta, Tesla and even Green". I have no more time (work) to check it out.

I happened to pass a Volta in Larais, so I had a look, but nothing there. There are loads of other stations with those names though, inevitably.

Dunno if it's important, but the *announcement* no longer appears in Galnet news at Godel Ring station - at least not in SOLO, will check OPEN and see.

edit: Gone from news in open as well. Does that mean they've all been found and the game/hunt is over?

Yeah, the news is gone from the list along with the other news from 3 days ago, probably because it's 3 days old.

As far as we know, 2 people have found the cards and one of them had one friend, so 2 cards are left.

i think you can safely say they are all gone if this is true. 1 friend? and then how many people does that person know?... also even if you didn't play ED, wouldn't it be worth buying it, just to get the prize if a friend told you how?.... no. sorry to say i think they are long gone. I just wish we could find out where they were so we know if anyone was on the right track.

It probably would be worth it if they had gaming PCs, but a lot of people can't be bothered spending a couple of hours to make quick money for the same reason they pay for convenience.

That's weird, the oldest news my news list thing is showing is the "Falisci: Democracy Denied" thing from the 27th March.
