Well it's a wild guess but:
Ededleen 93:41:82
Leesti 73:48:68
project 53:55:44
Placing the cursor on those coords snaps to:
Pelin 52:57:43

Just thought it was worth a look if anyone is close.

Ah OK fair enough, too big a detour for me I'm afraid.

Everything's worth a look ;)

I've tried so many crazy ideas.

Is there something really obvious that we are all missing?

I've gone down the Titans of greek lore route - all the locations given, only found reference to Tartarus in game - not there,
I've gone down the Godel route - typed in just about every name and place on his Wiki and nothing.
I've gone down the GPU route - hell, we even went out to Kepler-110 which was a 4000LY round trip - nothing.

We've gone obvious, we've gone tenuous (and in some cases incredibly so, lol), we've even gone totally bonkers, hehe, but still nothing.

I only hope they haven't just stuck it somewhere totally random, because if they did that then they lose all the credit I have given them for running the competition the way they have.

I realised most of the systems I've been going through have had other commanders on the traffic report; so defo searching in the wrong area.

Well unless we can get some kind of hint that it isn't random then.. well yeah.

Also large station or outposts? I can see people in large ships complaining if they were at an outpost.

I hope this riddle is logical...

What i did the last three days:

Checked Titan with Titan City (to easy)
Jaques Station
Leonard Nimoy´s Station
Pratchett´s Disc
If you use the galaxy map and type in "godel" it shows the System Neris which has a "wafer" dock. Where do all those chips come from... yes from wafers!
If you type in "wafer" you´ll be directed to the System Beket and this System has a Outpost called Wafer Asylum. After that i couldn´t find more details :(

Tried all those nvidia things like:

Kepler which is too far for me
Maxwell (present) Maxwell City but there is... yes nothing
Pascal (future) shows System Sirona and it´s to far for me...
Jen Hsun (nV ceo) shows nothing
Tape out (google it) shows nothing

Now i have just one more nV thing but i dont want to go that far...

All the same + Other ppl in Nvidia + Volta + Card + other words in announcement + many theories / compares / etc. + Allied with Reynhardt....
The more I searched with "google-fu", less I was thinking it's a good idea/route. Given all other info and places many players checked and posted in this thread - I think that any info that is not in-game is a waste of time. Or it is indeed random, and then it will be very very sad.

I thought I had a good lead last night, but no love so far. I tried going to Leesti and looking at trade routes in the galaxy map. One trade route lead to a system with a station named Brahe. Kepler assisted Tycho Brahe. There was a mission at this station involving hunting down some pirates that stole a batch of prototypes in a nearby system that were en-route somewhere (final destination not disclosed). I believe I wasn't qualified to accept the mission, but went to the target system anyway hoping to find another breadcrumb. Unfortunately the trail went cold, probably just a coincidence.

Let's not forget that it's never been said either way if it is random or not. I personally do not mind, but if it is you should try to restrain your anger as it was just hope that made you think there might be a link. Someone who has searched over 100 systems has done no less work than people googling stuff and then flying to specific systems ;)

I do hope though that it's one of those moments where when they reveal the link everyone who's tried smacks their forehead :p

Do they even know what GPU they are giving away yet? the Galnet article states the winners will receive a "commercial model as soon as they become available", Blacks have been available about a year now............
Plus FD stating the RRP is £900 also points towards the giveaway actually being for X's rather than blacks, as X's RRP is £900.
And with the fact that the whole thing is talking about "prototypes" again would point to the titan X, not black.
Is this a case of FD over-selling things or purposefully blurring the lines to try and entice more people to take part?
Or is it more like the tweet they sent to the band who made the music used on the advert where they even got the name of the song wrong?

This occurred to me last night in bed, and it's rather annoying. My main theory was based on Kepler's Star, which isn't in the game. I spent a couple of days going through the brightest, closest and most Titan-looking systems in the constellation it was a part of, but now I'm not sure if I was even basing my daft idea on the right card's architecture. Titan Blacks aren't new at all.

It seems strange that they'd set up this competition, presumably to win Titan Xs, mentioning "Titan Black" like five times but without once mentioning the card they're actually giving away.

Another clue from ED may be ?...

A user asked them on Twitter:" Not so much a "hunt" as a "game-of-hit-and-miss". No clues, 400 billion stars. Good luck!"
Then ED replied with this: "occupied space is much smaller than 400 billion. It's at a station."

I think that should give us some more clue to narrow the search. :)

Dunno if this hasn't been suggested before, but in the interest of making this somewhat non-spoilable, couldn't FD have made the source location different for each commander? I mean, no, not every commander, but there are lots of stations and you could easily distribute 1000 stations across the player base making a reveal on the web almost worthless.

This would keep the contest going a pretty long time. It'd also be pretty evil. :7

If that's how they did it, I'd expect them to be found close to Godel--say, limit your search to 15-30 LY distance, maybe not even that much. They intended for the fireworks to occur at Godel, so there's no reason to stick the goods super far away.

but we knew that at the very beginning from galnet that it is on station....

So. They're at a station in occupied space. Good to know.

I've read here about some people thinking it could be hidden at a small star port instead of a station. Also, some other people said that it could have been hidden in a far away system where nobody goes. ED clearly state there that they are hidden in much smaller area to search than 400 billion, in "occupied space". This should be some kind of clue to narrow our search in my opinion.

Unless proven otherwise, I'm assuming that reddit-guy actually found them, hence that they are in a large station.

Gotta do *something* to limit my search haven't I! :D
